"Advanced text editor" Posted 2022-04-12
Pros: Free & Open source.
Can be used to open all text formats and large file sizes.
Supports almost all popular programming languages.
Extensive Plugin system and third party integrations with IDEs and other tools.
Advanced search capabilities.
Cross platform availability.Cons: No cons, its a simple yet advanced FOSS utility must have for power users.
Overall: I have used Vim for a long time for UNIX systems but couple of years back shifted to it on Windows as well. Reasons being no other free text editor was able to open large size log files. Vim handles any size and format files you throw into it.
