Is it possible to run tomoe under windows? I assume I'll need something like cygwin, right? Also, is there any information about the algorithms that tomoe uses for its recognition engine? As a university cs student, I'd be interested in taking a look under the hood, but I'm a little rusty on my C++, but from what I understand so far, Tomoe makes a tomoe-recognizer which calculates tomoe candidates? Thanks! |

I've tried it from the scim panel and from scim-tomoe on the terminal. I didn't see you mention scim, so I thought you might be using it some different way. David |

Hi, 2008/1/18, David Barnett <dav...@gm...>: > I've been surprised that nobody else reported the problem until now. I > wonder if we have something strange in common with our environments. If you installed tomoe as a package, you probably can't test it directly because tomoe doesn't ship any program like /usr/bin/tomoe-gtk. To test tomoe without scim-tomoe, first compile and install tomoe, then do the same for tomoe-gtk. In the tomoe-gtk folder, you'll find the test/testtomoegtk program. Mathieu |

I've been meaning to crack it open myself and dig out more information, but who knows when I'll actually get a chance. It does seem like a complete absence of output would be easy enough to debug. I've been surprised that nobody else reported the problem until now. I wonder if we have something strange in common with our environments. You said you're using tomoe directly? I could never figure out how to use it except through scim-tomoe. If you can rule out glib and pango, what else is there we might have in common? David |

In my case, there's no output about pango in terminal as yours. I think it's not distro specific, since I'm using debian and compile it from source. But if gentoo people find a solution, please forward it here. Umar Said |

I use scim-tomoe, and I can draw in the drawing area, but absolutely nothing happens whether I click the search button or not (all the functions on the other tabs seem to work okay, though). It's made tomoe completely unusable for me. I submitted a bug report in Gentoo's bug tracker here: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199723 Think it's the same problem? David |

Hi all, I've download tomoe source code version 0.5.1, 0.6.0 and subversion rev 1579. I've compiled and install it successfully. Of all, only version 0.5.1 produces output, while others says no candidate. Maybe it is related to dictionary. But since there is no documentation, I don't know what to do. Any hints? TIA Umar Said |
