This is truly a great private social networking platform if you have not already try it. This release fixes a major IM bug that causes the server to crash.
Voice mail in Hiitch has been restored after fixing this recording bug.
We added some improved features based on your feedbacks. Give us a shout if you are using the Hiitch platform and on how to improve our product to better serve your needs. We will try our best to follow up on them. ;-)
We added better support for Gnome and KDE. Linux users can now look forward to a free GPL Desktop social network!
We have release a new version of Hiitch that basically uses a better local caching strategy when browsing other people's profile card. Enjoy.
Our new release now includes support for new stream compression technology on the platform. Remember to check out our new website design and hosting services.
This new version allows for different virtual networks to merge so that their members can communicate with each other while maintaining separate resources such as community boards and etc.
This new features will allow the administrator to create totally separated virtual networks and/or merging those that may require their members to interact within a single server. The idea is to give a greater degree of flexibility and privacy by defining distinct network groups and their resources but still allow them to mix and match when desired.
We have released our recent desktop social networking platform with support for virtual networks. This means that you can now host multiple private networks on a single machine to save and share on bandwidth an hardware cost.
We have removed the requirement for the prospect information to be filled up and provided an auto behind the scene matching system. Basic profile information form filling has also been greatly reduced.
So come on in and join us on Hiitch, the real open sourced desktop social network.
We are an open source social networking company that develops social networking products. We have developed a new social platform for the Linux desktop called Hiitch (http://hiitch.com). We would like to invite all Linux users to join us as part of our effort to provide Linux users with a unified desktop social network.
On top of the default network that we provide for free, Hiitch also allows you to hack on it to develop features that you desire so as to stay connected to your family, friends, company or organization. Check us out and if you are interested in what we are doing then help us spread the word.
Now Hiitch has taken a step forward and introduced voice mail to our social networking platform. We are working on introducing VOIP on Hiitch too but we have limited resources to implement it. If you use Hiitch and want internet telephony on Hiitch for your family and friends, then give us a shout of encouragement to work harder for you!
