I have just released another recognizer title Ink2Text on Sourceforge which does not require a Windows license or copy at all, but instead hosts the needed files on WINE. For most people, that will be preferable. I have also updated the SHIP client to version 1.1.0 to use the Ink2Text back-end, with an automatic fall-back to this back-end if that is not found.

A new MS Ink Server download bundle with corrected install instructions is available. I also corrected a bungle with the numbering sequence. (Why doesn't anyone ever point these out?)
