rating SOURCE (source forge!) as for "marked as Linux source". I cannot compile on a modern linux with gcc-14 binutils-2.42 glibc-2.40. It wants gcc-3 or gcc-4 to compile GCL because it "writes to strings that aren't arrays" without using pointer arithmetic (ld you can get around K&R C unix conformance you cannot get around). I cannot use a different Lisp either it hugely depends on GCL in countless ways. Also the elf and bfd version it assumes are Redhat R2 old, it has assembler, and i can't image work anymore on Linux. This might work with MING and be a 4* for microsoft but not on linux - not in general.
