Florence is an extensible scalable on-screen virtual keyboard for GNOME that stays out of your way when not needed. You need it if you can't use a real keyboard either because of a handicap, broken keyboard or tablet PC but you can use a pointing devide.

User Reviews

  • Good program but seems that doesnt work on Wayland.
  • Thank you
  • Very good, but when I use a arabic layout, the arabic letters don't appear on the keyboard; only litttle squares appear.
  • Simple to use with a host of interesting options to play around with - but I think I ended up back using the defaults, although may be I disabled the sound feedback. It's great for my use case when I simply move the keyboard out of the way on my *real* desktop to create room for physical things and then need to 'type' in a word or two for internet searches or similar.
