Although this library make it easy to generate JSON output using tags, the inefficiencies and the fact that there is an open bug a few years old made me think twice about using this tags for any real work. For basic projects, the tags will help rapidly code a JSON backend. The 2 two main reasons why to avoid the library: code efficiency and lack of developer commitment. For example, the JsonBaseTag class on line 322 opts for String.replaceAll instead of the more efficient Pattern/Matcher paradigm. Secondly, the quotation escape bug should have been fixed a long time ago. This outstanding bug encourages non-standard approaches to handling the generate JSON.
