What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?

Not sure if I'm reviewing a company or their primary product (Enterprise). I'll focus primarily on the product. Customization is the product's signature feature. Once you understand how the product works, you can really get creative and come up with some unique solutions. I like how I can tailor it with views and have control over layouts to customize the data entry experience. Our Customer Success Manager is fantastic and very responsive to our questions and challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?

Getting the product up and running is a heavy lift and a long road. There are so many layers involved and there's no way you can understand what the product can do for you when you're at the start of that road. I've been using the product for 20 years (10 years as the Admin) and I feel it's only been the last 6-7 years where I truly understand things. Knowing what I know now, I would certainly do some things differently. While the product can be easily customized for your on-screen experience, the opposite is true if you want that experience to translate to a document that is client facing. I can create a simple Word Merge Template that looks great; however, our client facing documents rarely fall into the "simple" category. So we commission someone to create Crystal Reports or a more complex Word Merge Template. The results are typically pretty good; however, they do come at a price. I've found that once they're complete and in use for a few months, we typically want change something so it's back to the drawing board. Ultimately, I want to be able to do this myself and change them once a week if I want but it requires a skill set that I don't have and hasn't been made user friendly by Momentus. It's gotten better but there's plenty of room for improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?

I like that it is widely used across the convention center industry, which allows us to collaborate with other venues that do similar functions with it on data points & functionality. The software also makes it very easy to copy & paste data for repeat event, which is a huge time saver with so many annual events. The Booking calendar makes checking availability easy. What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?

Honestly the #1 thing is probably lack of training & communication about functionality. improvements. I know the software can do more than we do with it for reporting & tracking data, but still using very labor intensive processes to pull reports & track things that involve work in excel after exporting. I also appreciate the ability to customize things, but there seems to lack 1 normal process/ functionality for doing daily venue bookings things like contracts, prospecting & detailing events. Momentus Technologies supports calendar management (my current role) across multiple departments. Also, the event detailing tools are thorough, which helps me keep everything organized and ensures that no detail gets overlooked. What do you dislike about Momentus Technologies?

Some of the options, we have so many different ways to get to each thing, reports, etc. its great on one hand but then overwhelming and sometimes people dont remember how they got there. It also would be great for it not to reopen a window when we go to print, it closes then reopens. And sometimes when Im looking at something in an account detail view, and a coworker is on their end looking at it, with same filters, it shows different things. Not sure if that is a glitch or not. What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?

I think the most helpful thing about Momentus is all the capabilities it holds. Every time I think I am stuck in a corner with a problem, there is a solution in Momentus. Overall I think this is a very thorough event/accounting software. I use Momentus every day, so having such a comprehensive and well designed accounting software is necessary. What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?

I’ve been working with Ungerboeck, now Momentus, since 2019, and my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. I was first introduced to the platform while working at a previous performing arts venue, where I was part of the team that led the transition from a different event management system to Momentus, right in the midst of the pandemic. Navigating such a major change during such an uncertain time could have been overwhelming, but I truly couldn’t have asked for a better company to guide us through it. Momentus allows both the facility/venue and the on site catering company to efficiently share information including client details/contracting terms, event timelines and history of the past event performances. It's so very easy to upload our most current Event Orders detailing the specific food and beverage components of the events, so that everyone is in the loop operationally. What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?

I like that it's easy to understand and navigate, and it's much faster than the previous interface. I have found that there are always double checks that can easily aid in helping us not make any mistakes as well which is a huge plus. I use it daily and I have no complaints, so thats a very good sign things are improving. I also love the Menu being on the Left side of the screen. What do you like best about Momentus Technologies?

I use the fairs and expositions program through Momentus. We were using an old in house system for years to manage our contracts and orders for exhibitors, but we outgrew the capabilities of this program. Moving to Momentus was easy, and I enjoyed being hands on during the production and implementation of our database. The floorplan add on makes creating our layout extremely easy, and I even find assigning booth space fun. The support team we have is also amazing. They are extremely helpful when we need assistance or when we need reminder son how to work a part of the system. Our event that we use the system for is once a year. Remembering how to set things up and copy over to repeat everything is tricky, but the support of our customer success team is there when we need it.
