What do you like best about Nexis Newsdesk?

There are many features that I love about the Newsdesk, which I have been using for the last year.

Accessibility of a large number of free and paid sources (If not available, we can also request the team to add the sources)

User-friendly interface,

Great algorithm for harvesting the articles,

the flexibility of using the search strings, and

Finally, great people who can customer support on a timely basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nexis Newsdesk?

Couple of things that Newsdesk can improve on:

1. Tool has to categorize the country name depending on the context of the article. Eg: If the article is talking about Economic reforms in India and the article is published in ICIS. The tool mentions the source country of the article which is either London or Singapore. However, the article supposed to be categorized under India.

2. The tool should provided an option to eliminate the images from articles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for raising the tagging comment. Newsdesk does categorize both by source location (in this case ICIS is a UK source) and by locations mentioned (in this case India). In fact, our technology will even tag an article with India as a location if it isn’t explicitly mentioned (i.e. mentions Mumbai). This functionality may be a little hidden. We’d love the opportunity to take you through how it works and learn how we can improve the visibility of this in the product.

What do you like best about Nexis Newsdesk?

LexisNexis Newsdesk is a user friendly software that is simple and easy to set up. It is used to do searches or to collect information. By using specific keywords a wide range of options appear and you can also search things from a specific time period. I used it to locate positive and negative articles about a business. It made work a lot easier and i cannot imagine doing research without it. The customer service was the best i saw and they were friendly while being professional. The interface design is also smooth. By using it numberless articles can be searched and the search engine is really good. Every source of news that you need is present at one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nexis Newsdesk?

In LexisNexis Newsdesk many search results are repeated and the database is just not for me it doesn't work according to my needs. It is expensive as compared to its working and i think if they cut down the price a little bit it will be a perfect software. I love the reliability and accreditation of this brand! I have been a long time LexisNexis user for legal purposes, but now that I am in the field of marketing, I have something similar to rely on. What do you like best about Nexis Newsdesk?

The news monitoring is excellent. My favorite part is that I receive daily alerts and LexisNexis provides licensed content as well, so I know I am receiving all of the content. There's also unlimited search, sources, and geographies. It also sends everything in real time, unlike other services like Meltwater. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nexis Newsdesk?

I like this because it is more focused than competitors on legal issues. I do not know how useful this would be to people outside of the legal field or recruiting, but this within these fields this source is amazing! Unlike something like Google alerts, you can actually use this to analyze results and keep better "tabs" on whatever issue you are looking into. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
