"Bitwarden is my trusted security companion, self-hosted and essential"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?

After six years of using Bitwarden as self-hosted password manager, I can’t imagine my workflow without it. It’s secure, flexible, and has a clean interface that makes organizing logins and sensitive data straightforward. Syncing across devices is reliable, and the autofill feature just works, saves me time and frustration. Knowing I have control over my own data gives me peace of mind, and I really appreciate how open and transparent the platform is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

Very little comes to mind. Occasionally, the browser extension needs a manual refresh, but that’s a minor issue compared to the convenience and security Bitwarden provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy way to manage passwords online securely"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?

It is a free tool that I discovered that helped me manage my passwords securely online. I can use it across my devices (e.g., laptop, desktop, and even on my mobile phone) without experiencing any inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

There is no option to bulk delete passwords via the Chrome extension interface. You have to log in to the web app to perform this task. Considering that I mostly use the Chrome extension interface, having this feature there would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review for Bitwarden"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Bitwarden has came u p with new features such as: Passkey support, authenticator enhancements, Bitwarden secrets manager. Moreover, I came up with understanding that it has rolled out more modern interface on desktop and mobile apps.

It is usually designed for developers and DevOps teams under IT sector field to securely store, manage, and access infrastructure secrets like API keys, tokens, and passwords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

Yes, I feel there can be slight improvement in some areas like, performance speed over desktop and browser extensions as it's slight slower compared to NordPass. Whereas, offline access is still limited in Bitwarden as we couldn't add or modify entries while being offline. Autofill engine can be improved to match more sites and offer smarter suggestions. "Best Free password manager out there!"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Bitwatern is a really good password manager. You can generate random passwords. The best part is it's free, and even the pro plan is just priced at $1 per month or $10 annually. For the organisation pack, I don't find much value in paying because it is already open source and you get access to all the basic features, including login to multiple devices, for free. Apart from that, you can also share passwords in the free account. So I don't think small organisations need to pay ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

There are some bugs, like whenever I enable that the vault should unlock with Touch ID on my Mac, sometimes it gets automatically disabled. Also, there is a problem with the phone app, as it doesn't automatically prompt me to enter the password in the password field of every website using the mobile app, whether it's an iPhone or Android. What I have to do is go into the app, unlock the vault, find the password, copy it, and then paste it onto the website. So there should be a faster way. I noticed only a few times when the password was automatically filled directly in the website/app, but it doesn't happen most of the time. I don't know what the issue is there. "The best user-friendly password manager from the perspective of an admin"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?

We are still using Bitwarden several years after my initial review, and it is still working great. Especially as an admin they have given me more ways to manage all the users in my organization. The one issue I had previously is that people had a password storage space (i.e. folder) in their own vault, and in the organisations vault, and removing someone from the organization did not remove anything in their own vault. This is fine in principle, but many users accidentally saved their entries in their own vault, meaning I could not restrict their access when it came time for that. Luckily they improved that; they include now multiple options to restrict users from saving in their own vault, or for linking their own vault to the organization as well.

Among other things I appreciate the password reset options I can use as an admin to reset someone's password. Once past the initial learning curve, which is typical for any new password manager, our regular users have found it intuitive to use and I haven't heard any complaints. It also just works for both our Windows, Mac and Linux users without any issues as far as I am aware.

All that for a very decent price (which hasn't increased (yet), even in this more expensive economy). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

For the everyday user, Bitwarden is perfect. Getting into your vault from the browser extension is easy, and it generally is good at autofilling in your passwords and saving new ones without any issues.

But as an admin for an organization, that's where I still see some room for improvement. While Bitwarden keeps improving its admin console and gives us tools like audit logs and reports for weak or reused passwords, they could be even better, especially as our team is growing, for instance:

- It'd be super helpful if we could run those security reports (for finding weak or reused passwords) just on a single collection instead of the whole organization's vault. Because our vault is now pretty big, running a full check sometimes make my browser freeze up. Plus, not being able to audit just one department or project makes it tough to really drill down and make sure specific teams are following our security rules. Add to that the fact that generating these reports is quite slow (a few minutes for a team of 100 users).

- I can see when individual users last logged in by digging into their profiles, but it'd be so much easier if there was just one simple table or dashboard showing everyone's last login date. Right now, I have to go user by user, and that's just not efficient when you're trying to keep an eye on a lot of accounts to spot anyone who's been inactive for too long. Furthermore, this just shows you that they logged in recently, it is alot trickier to detect if they actually use Bitwarden correctly. This can now only be done (as far as I am aware) by exporting audit logs and doing some spreadsheet magic to find the people not using Bitwarden correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Bitwarden - A Reliable and Secure Password Manager"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Bitwarden stands out to me because of its combination of top-tier security and simplicity. The fact it’s open source gives me additional peace of mind because its code undergoes continuous scrutiny from the community. It offers peace of mind knowing all my information is encrypted. Even better is the fact it syncs effortlessly across all my devices. No more scrambling for passwords. The password generator is superb for creating strong and unique passwords and the autofill makes logging into sites very easy. Overall, my digital life is more secure and much easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

Even though Bitwarden is a great tool in general, there are a couple of areas for improvement. Occasionally, the autofill option is inoperative on specific websites, which means I have to copy and paste passwords — inconvenient. The layout looks a little dated, so it could use a more contemporary redesign. Furthermore, for tech illiterate individuals, the process of configuring two-factor authentication can be somewhat perplexing at first. These are not the worst usability issues, but they are the features that Bitwarden could enhance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Bitwarden is favourite Password Manager amongst the competition"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Bitwarden for personal use is free. It is worth the enterprise cost because of how secure everything remains and how easy it is to use. There are tips and steps everywhere if you get confused, and the UI is just so clean and pretty Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

I don't like the fact that the Windows app I downloaded requires to be updated almost twice every week (small price to pay). I also don't like the fact that the Android app does not scale properly to my phone (I have poor eyesight so I have set the display zoom settings to 150%) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great password manager"
What do you like best about Bitwarden?

The product has a variety of interfaces for different browsers, devices, and operating systems. It's nice to be able to have a password management solution that works across a multitude of platforms. The complimentary family licenses are also a great feature since it reinforces good security practice in the home. The shared vault feature is great in the corporate environment since it cenralizes password management and eliminates insecure credential sharing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

The password manager is not available in every application interface. While this is inconvenient, it's not so problematic as to prevent its continued use in most envronments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing off hand. It does everything I need, does it reliably, and is available on every platform that I use. I just works, which is what a password manager should do! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
