Bonterra Network for Good Reviews & Product Details

Bonterra Network for Good is the only online donation platform I've used. So I don't have a lot to compare it to. With that being said, I find it universally great for tracking donors and their donations. It offers a lot of features to initiate contact with current, old and lapsed donors. I would also like to mention that there have been significant changes that have made it easier to use, easily integrated with QuickBooks as well as clear and precise AI help to address any support issues I may come accross. Once you understand how to use the system, it is easy to use, allows you to divide contacts into groups so you can send specific communications to various contacts and the donation platform is easy for donors and enables us to manage donations quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use the system to communicate with donors and clients. The systems sometimes bounces non-gmail emails and that can be frustrating. It is a setting that needs to be reset every now and again. Also, bounced emails are not removed from your contacts, so when you review annually, you must request they delete the bounced emails. Bonterra is an amazing software for fundraising, events, and auctions. The best feature is the fact that there are ALWAYS opportunities to learn. There are so many live training sessions, articles, video archives, and a chat feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There really is no downside. If I had to choose one, I'd say that it can be overwhelming to get started. However, it is easy to find the answers to your questions and they are always rolling out new updates to make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Bonterra has been a lifesaver in terms of donor management. Using the contacts feature and email blasts we have been able to put out higher and more frequent newsletters and mailings to our donors and subscribers. Onboarding was made incredibly simple and the customer service team took care of our entire import from Little Green Light. The templates for donor receipts and thank you's have also been a huge bonus! One downside to Bonterra is not having an easy way to link two donors of the same household to the same donation. There is a household donation view, but due to the way donations are input they must be made by one person, officially. I also hope a future update will allow us to look up donors by address in the Giving tab, not just the contacts tab. Those two are my only wishes! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Bonterra Network for Good incredibly valuable for tracking donations and staying in contact with our donors, both individual and corporate. I appreciate its user-friendly interface, especially after transitioning from a manual tracking system. The integration for sending automatic texts and emails to sponsors is highly beneficial. It also supports us with event planning and budgeting, while enabling us to express gratitude and maintain constant communication with donors, which I find essential. The tracking feature is a major highlight, allowing for easy reporting and data management. I also appreciate that updates are made regularly, which keeps the service innovative and effective. We find the limitation on the number of users to be a problem, as it's currently only allowed to have three users. Our organization needs more access for additional users beyond the treasurer, president, and executive assistant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy access for our donors and our company as well. It is easy to maneuver and follow the steps to make the donations. The fees are low and everything is going to a good cause. Donor management is fairly simple. Creating filters and contact groups has helped us pull information to keep us informed about our donor groups and fundraising campaigns. Communication with donors through email blasts, text messages and direct mail has been a useful tool for our non-profit, as well.

We have several ticketed events throughout the year. Setting up events in NFG has been simple and works well for inviting guests, tracking ticket sales, promoting and staying in contact with event guests.

Customer support through the chat feature has been very helpful. They are quick to respond and have generally been able to resolve my issues and/or lead me to whatever training we need.

In our organization the Development role uses NFG nearly every day. Overall, we are happy with the product and are looking forward to future improvements that will help where some features are currently lacking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Events and auctions could use some improvement. The check-in feature for guests attending our events is much too slow to be an effective tool for our organization. Also, the Auctions function was not the best. We had challenges with managing item images for printing as well as checking out items once they were won. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease of inputting names and contacts I'd have to say is the best feature and affects my job the most. My job as an administrative assistant only really requires limited knowledge of this program, label creation, database input and searching for addresses, but all these are very easy to use and I LOVE how easy labels are to create! I know there are so many more features I could use, but I don't because I feel they're hard to understand, like the filtering is very confusing to me. I wish there video tutorials that I can watch at my free time instead of Webinars occasionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like Bonterra to add additional stanfard fundraising measurements to the dashboard. We would like to have quick reports that measure the three (3) donor types: Retained, New and Re-activated. ALL donors fall into one of these three categories. Currently I have to to run two filter reports to calculate retained and new donors. The only way that to get the reactivated donor total is by subtracting the new and retained from the total. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

To me the tool seems user friendly and intuitive. I have no qualms with Network for Good, despite having heard feedback from others that it is not their favorite. I have compared Network for Good to other leading CRM's and found that it does the same as the others. For now, i'll be sticking with NFG. I do wish that it had more features in the editing email capabilities. Also, I wish it had a more intuitive design around donor journeys, and prompted me for next steps that I should be taking based off inputted touch-points or data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
