What do you like best about Hopscotch Product Tours?

Setting up Hopscotch was incredibly easy. In just one afternoon, I was able to create and launch our very first product tour on our SaaS platform—no developer time was needed. The visual editor is very user-friendly; it is like working with a design tool, which made it perfect for my marketing team to take full control of the process. We are using it every day to introduce new users, and the feature of different user segments having their own personalized tours has been amazing. The directions in the app have, to a large extent, replaced the basic "how-to" support tickets, which is something our customer success team is very happy about. What do you dislike about Hopscotch Product Tours?

The core features of the product/service are great, but I think the analytics were quite basic at the beginning. Completion rates are visible, however, figuring out which steps are most abandoned for the rest of the process had to be done manually. It is my understanding that they are working on it, but as a data-driven marketer, I would prefer to have more built-in funnel analysis. Moreover, the support we received from the customer service team was good, however, for most of the small questions, I had to take help from their documentation as there is no live support 24/7 for our timezone. What do you dislike about Hopscotch Product Tours?

Advanced targeting rules and integrations have a little steep learning curve if you are connecting with multiple platforms, and that might be a bit difficult. Nevertheless, after getting accustomed to it, we found the arrangement to be very easy. I wish future releases were equipped with more templates or best-practice examples for complex use cases. What do you like best about Hopscotch Product Tours?

With pinpoint targeting, it is possible for us to develop very contextual support. A new feature is what we usually introduce together with a small and non-intrusive tour that tells the user the new feature's purpose right at the place of use. Definitely, this is a great way to reach users as compared to a blog or an email which might be overlooked by users. What do you dislike about Hopscotch Product Tours?

We sometimes encounter problems with a tour that is not able to automatically detect a change of state in extremely dynamic single-page applications (SPAs). In order to make sure that the tours are always triggered, we have had to use their developer API in a few instances, which means that some technical resources are needed.
