What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

As a Senior Project Manager at Affidea, I am responsible for implementing IQM across 15 countries. Although I do not use IQM regularly, the feedback from the quality managers in these countries has been overwhelmingly positive, indicating their satisfaction with the application. While the initial usage of IQM may seem challenging, Jeff Blackburn-Elliot, our consultant, has provided exceptional support during training and database configuration. Jeff's proactive approach, constant willingness to help, and insightful suggestions have been invaluable.

Coordinating the configuration with quality teams from 15 different countries, each with unique personalities and local regulations, has been a formidable task. However, Jeff's involvement has significantly eased and enhanced this process, making it more enjoyable. The integration journey, though long, has been remarkably smooth with Jeff on board. I truly wish I could continue working with him, as his contributions have been outstanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

As the IQM databases are now in use across all 15 countries, we are receiving an increasing number of requests, primarily related to issues. Unfortunately, the IT Support process is not yet live due to challenges in coordinating and integrating the Ideagen and Affidea support processes. Despite raising our questions and concerns with Ideagen Customer Support several weeks ago, there has been no progress. This situation is complicating the handover to Affidea operations.

Additionally, the data validation process is both time-consuming and complex, especially given the need to repeat it 15 times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

I like how seamless the interaction is between different software modules within the software package. It is easy to learn and to train with regards to usage. It has become an integral part of our integrated management system and has been implemented at every level of the business.

IQM is straightforward and user-friendly (desktop version), making it particularly easy to navigate when handling audits. Different general requirements of an organization can be easily managed in IQM as it provides multiple modules like training, documents, assets, etc. within a single platform. As a Quality Management System / Document Management System, Ideagen Quality Management (IQM) - or QPulse as was - allows non-conformance and CAPA recording, reporting and tracking, document management, equipment or asset inventory, calibration and service history record keeping, internal audit reporting and other quality management activities. The transition to a software as a service model (SaaS) has increased "licencing costs" and elevated year-on-year costs. It is unclear what additional functionality the IQM application brings to the table over the previous QPulse client application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Q-Pulse is a brilliant tool and more services within our Trust are starting to use the system. I have used q-pulse for 8 years and it is a great system to share documents, perform audits and report internal incidents. Providing ways to trend non conformances by producing graphs. What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

We are using IQM in a fairly simple way to store and record changes to documents, track employees competencies and to hold records of our services and calibrations of certain appliances. The layout of IQM is easy to navigate. The help menu is useful. We have only just populated our information into the system so haven't really got to grips with it totally yet. There does seem to be more than one way of carrying out the action you need which can be a good and bad thing at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

The many types of notifications you can get seem a bit confusing. Before we had the system we thought that each document would have the information regarding its implementation date, review date, author etc automatically printed on it by the system. Possibly there is a way of doing this but we haven't found it yet. So we are putting this on manually which doesn't really make sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For the document metadata - you can automate this through the Microsoft Plugin setup so you don't need to add it manually. Please raise a ticket with our support team who can help you configure this.

What do you like best about Ideagen Quality Management?

This is a good eQMS software. Compared to others on the market, this eQMS much less restrictive and allows you to to fully customize workflows and the level of access granted to each user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Quality Management?

The Accounting Team. Since Qualtrax's acquisition by Ideagen, I have seen a noted decline in the Customer Service I receive. More significantly however, the financial terms we agreed upon with Qualtrax were went out the window. Our cost of service rose significantly without warning, even though no changes were made to our system and no significant enhancements were made to the software. When I asked my my account manager why, he told me that the Accounting Team appraised each user's system and charged them what they felt was appropriate. When I asked for details regarding that determination so my Accounting department could better plan for payments next year, they told me no details can be provided. When I provided them with all of the terms agreements, contracts and payments provided to Qualtrax showing the rate at which we paid for our service and that no changes were made, it didn't matter and they said my prices would continue to rise unless I signed a multi-year contract with them. To me, this is dishonest business since they know companies by that point would be reliant on their software.

Furthermore, I had requested to decrease the number of users in our system when we closed one of our labs. This request went ignored for five months only for me to then be told that the the request could not be granted since the window closed less than thirty days ago (~4 months AFTER my request was placed).

This sort of treatment would not have occurred under Qualtrax's old Managment, so its such a shame to see a good product now tied to such a dishonorable company. Therefore, I cannot ever recommend this product to others, because I would not want any other company to experience the mistreatment and borderline extortion we did. That is not worth whatever cost-savings this eQMS may offer when compared to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
