What do you like best about Zoho Expense?

Zoho Expense offers an incredibly streamlined experience for managing business travel and expense reports. I particularly appreciate its automation features, such as receipt scanning and auto-expense categorization, which save a lot of time and minimize manual errors. The integration with Zoho Books and other accounting tools is seamless, making financial reconciliation much faster and more accurate. What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?

While Zoho Expense is excellent overall, the reporting dashboard could be more customizable. At times, generating complex reports requires additional steps or manual filters. The initial setup for policy configurations can also take some time, especially for organizations with multiple departments and custom approval hierarchies. What do you like best about Zoho Expense?

I like that I can use Siri on my iPhone to initiate Zoho Expense to track my mileage. This makes mileage tracking for my business travel incredibly easy. Then, when the trip is over, I use Siri to stop tracking and it automatically creates an expense report for my trip. I collect those over a month and submit them for review. EASY!! I also use Siri to record a receipt. No fumbling through buttons or apps. My voice command simply opens the app and allows me to scan my physical receipt. BAM! Easy. It’s so easy to use, and it integrates perfectly with our company’s Zoho Books account.

What do you like best about Zoho Expense?

We’ve been using Zoho Expense to manage our expense reporting, and it has made the process much more efficient. The receipt scanning feature is particularly helpful, as it automatically captures details and reduces manual data entry.

The customizable approval workflows and policy settings have allowed us to maintain better control and compliance with company guidelines. Integration with our accounting system has been smooth, saving time during reconciliation. What do you like best about Zoho Expense?

Zoho Expense's Start to Finish handling of business expenses is second to none. Whether you want to itemize and split an expense across many accounts, or just have a step 1-2-3 approach to Business expense reporting, Zoho Expense is one-and-done.

I would like to see even greater flexibility on the roporting side. The current customisation is good, but does not allow me to integrate the fields I need to present to our accounting team. What do you like best about Zoho Expense?

I love the ease that comes from using the software. The interface is pleasing and easy to use for someone like me who is starting their business from scratch. They make it accessible for you to continue with the progress you are making as a CEO, while also guiding you into the next steps of the setup process for the backstage. So far I have been using it for almost a month and I appreciate how they have structured it for those who are just starting as well as the one's who have been in the business world for decades. What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?

I would have to use it for a longer period before I can speak on it. However, one thing I would suggest is having unlimited scan receipts for newcomers to potentially progress through certain intervals more quickly during setup. What do you like best about Zoho Expense?

What are basically like about zero expenses is that it helps me manage all my expenses very effortlessly. The best feature is the automatic scanning, which saves a lot of time by pulling in all the details that I need. The mobile app is very intuitive. I'm sorry easy to use as well, it's also very great and smooth with other tools and other books. Overall, it's like pretty simple to use as it reduces a lot of hassle. What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?

Even though it's a great tool, there are a few aspects I don't like. For instance, some of the more advanced features are only accessible in the higher-tier plans, which feels quite limiting for smaller teams. The interface is clean, but at times it can feel a bit overwhelming when you're just starting to learn it. I also find that the desktop version runs a little slowly. What do you like best about Zoho Expense?

There are many apps that allow receipt scanning and submission. I trialed Expensify extensively to see if we could make it work for our team. They have some budgeting options. But it was clearly an afterthought for the overall implementation of the process and it had limited practical benefit in the overall management of the expense process.

With Zoho Expense, it just seems to work how I would expect an app like this to work. From adding expenses easily to receipt itemization, integration with company and personal credit cards, customization of the tax calculations (to calculate the charity tax rebate here in Canada... this would have been a dealbreaker if it didn't work), advances, multiple levels of review and approval, and of course the flexible budgeting options.

We're going to do a trial run to start. But I anticipate our team is going to love using Zoho Expense for expense submissions. Finally they can get away from printed Excel sheets and paper receipts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?

The biggest hang up I could find in testing out Zoho Expense is the lack of 'receipt stitching'. We run a food bank out of our church and when we need to buy groceries for our neighbours, the receipt paper can get very, very long. With the built-in receipt capture tool in the app, I would have to take one picture from the top of a ladder to get the whole receipt captured properly. You can capture multiple 'pages'. But because the app doesn't stitch the images together as one afterwards, if there's any attempt to itemize the receipt, you'll have duplicate items listed unless you somehow manage to perfectly capture the next set of receipt lines in each image. Thus, I've resolved we'll have to use something like Microsoft Lens to capture a long document and have the images stitched together. Then you can import that image into Zoho Expense. It should work fine. It's just very unnecessary to have to use a separate app when this could be built-in to Expense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software works well and has a clean interface. The auto capture feature functions smoothly, and I also appreciate that the software is very inexpensive.
