React joins The Linux Foundation! Finally, something in the frontend arena looks like it's going to stay. If you haven't started React yet, I'd start with learning useState, and useEffect. A great day for Open Source. For those in Mobile Dev roles who don't know React even a little bit, you are hurting your ability to contribute to and understand more code at your workplace. Tons of tools use React, just like NodeJS, usually combined with TypeScript. Honestly, the AI tools know React to a scary level, which only means more React is out there than you might realize.

Big news in the JavaScript world! React now has its own foundation under the Linux Foundation. This is one of the biggest shifts in React’s history. The new React Foundation brings React, React Native, and supporting projects into a neutral, community-led home backed by Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Vercel, and others.
