Integration concepts

Antavo is pure-play loyalty software, dedicated to offering robust tools for setting up, running, and maintaining your loyalty scheme. Integrating external systems can empower you to leverage their data within the loyalty program, and support connected parties with valuable loyalty program data.

This document outlines the various integration concepts and how these can be used within the Antavo Loyalty Cloud.

E-commerce and POS system integrations

Integrating e-commerce and POS systems with Antavo offers numerous benefits that enhance both customer experience and business operations. These integrations facilitate the management of loyalty programs across various sales channels, providing a unified and consistent experience.

Benefits:

  • Seamlessly integrate customer registrations into the loyalty program.
  • Enable customers to earn and redeem loyalty incentives online and/or in-store.
  • Deliver personalized offers and campaigns based on purchase history.

The main goal of these integrations is to provide the loyalty program with transactional data (such as purchase amounts, products purchased, and date and time of purchases) to accurately reward customers based on their purchase behavior.

Customer order data can be processed through direct integrations with POS and E-commerce channels or via centralized middleware systems.

E-commerce integration

E-commerce integrations are crucial for channel customers’ transaction data, which is essential for an online loyalty program. Additionally, loyalty program registrations should also be managed either during webstore registration or via a membership site built into the webstore.

Antavo can also support the integration of any other platform by providing the necessary API endpoints to get and send transactional data.

POS

The mentioned APIs can also be used by POS systems to register and reward in-store purchases in the loyalty program. Typically, transaction data is sent to Antavo, while customer registration is less commonly used from this channel.

Antavo has also integrated with Klippa’s DocHorizon technology, to track and reward transactions from non-integrated POS systems as well. This solution enables loyalty members to scan their receipts received in the store at checkout and be rewarded by the loyalty program. Read more in our Klippa user manual.

Martech integrations

Integrating marketing technology (Martech) solutions with Antavo enables the automation of nurturing customer relationships, personalized communications, and the measurement of loyalty program effectiveness. The goal of the integration is to synchronize loyalty program-generated customer data, facilitating targeted marketing efforts.

Antavo can synchronize various types of customer data, including:

  • Tier membership information: Track and communicate changes in customer tiers.
  • Point balances: Number of earned, spent, spendable, pending, and expired points.
  • Unlocked rewards: Information on rewards customers have claimed.
  • Challenge participation: Data on challenges customers have completed.
  • Loyalty Campaign Participation: Details on customer involvement in loyalty campaigns.

Antavo can trigger communications through integrated marketing automation platforms via workflows. Some common scenarios include:

  • Welcome email: Sent when the customer joins the loyalty program.
  • New tier unlocked: Notification when a customer reaches a new tier with benefits included.
  • Point expiration notification: Alert customers to spend their points before they expire.
  • Reward claim notification: Provide customers with redemption instructions.
  • Bonus point notification: Inform customers when they receive bonus points via period campaigns.

No development effort is required to integrate and connect the mentioned Martech systems. You can use the Antavo Management UI to configure connections, set up workflows, and start running communications related to loyalty incentives.

These integrations primarily operate one way, from Antavo to the marketing automation system. However, they can be configured to work two-way by setting up incoming webhooks to have Antavo handle inbound channels.

Antavo acts as the source of truth for loyalty program-generated data, which is processed, generated, and synchronized with connected external services on demand. However, Antavo should not be confused with a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) system.

Data platform integrations

Antavo leverages comprehensive customer loyalty data to create customer profiles, enabling an omnichannel approach that enhances customer interactions across online and physical stores. This data consists of

  • Information gathered from various internal modules and loyalty incentive schemes,
  • Personal information and transaction data provided by connected systems.

Data integration methods:

Antavo accommodates data integration in real-time or through daily/nightly batch uploads. This flexibility ensures timely updates of customer data, points, and coupons, minimizing errors and fraud risks.

Accumulated loyalty program data can be stored and analyzed on various platforms:

  • CDP: Customer Data Platform integrations facilitate unified customer profiles and targeted marketing campaigns based on comprehensive data insights.
