Abstract

Un método para mejorar la fotosíntesis de cultivos hortícolas caracterizado por los siguientes pasos: (a) dividir finamente uno o más materiales particulados altamente reflectantes hasta alcanzar un tamaño de partícula por debajo de 10 X 10-6 m, al menos para un 90% de la totalidad de dichas partículas; (b) formar una partícula que tenga un núcleo hidrofílico y una superficie externa hidrofóbica por medio de métodos como dilución, secado, calcinado y/o recubrimiento; (c) seleccionar materiales para conformar un núcleo hidrofílico y un recubrimiento externo hidrofóbico, con un Bloque de Brillantez de 90; (d) aplicar dicho producto formado en solución acuosa a la superficie de dicho cultivo hortícola, donde las partículas al aplicarse, permiten el intercambio de gases en la superficie de dicho cultivo. 1Un método para mejorar la fotosíntesis de cultivos hortícolas de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, donde dicho paso d) comprende aplicar a la superficie de dicho cultivo hortícola una cantidad efectiva de la mezcla acuosa de uno o más materiales particulados altamente reflectantes que tienen una brillantez en bloque, de por lo menos alrededor de 90, comprendiendo dichos materiales uno o más materiales particulados seleccionados del grupo compuesto por el carbonato de calcio, el caolín calcinado y mezclas de los mismos, en que dichos materiales particulados tienen un tamaño medio de partícula individual, de aproximadamente un micrón o menos, y donde dichas partículas al aplicarse permiten el intercambio de gases en la superficie de dicho cultivo.
