Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a portable communication terminal device having a sound emission port of a speaker that generates a ring tone on the rear side of a housing.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A mobile communication terminal device represented by a mobile phone (also simply referred to as a mobile communication terminal or a terminal) generally has a speaker for generating a ring tone on the back side of a housing. Therefore, when the terminal is placed on a desk or the like, the sound emission port of the speaker faces the placement surface. This is considered to be caused by a problem of a space margin for arranging the speakers and a necessity of seeing a sound emission opening of the speakers for recognition of a sound such as a ringtone.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
FIG. 2 shows a side view of a conventional two-fold type mobile phone in which an upper housing and a lower housing are connected via a hinge portion. When the speaker unit is placed on a mounting surface such as a desk in a folded state as shown in the drawing, the speaker unit abuts or approaches the mounting surface, and the sound emission of the sound emitted from the sound output port is obstructed. However, there is a problem that the sound quality is deteriorated. Similarly, when the speaker comes into contact with or comes close to the mounting surface, the magnetism of the speaker may cause adsorption of a magnetic substance and entry of dust or the like into many holes provided in the sound emission port. The same applies to a so-called stick type mobile phone.
[0004]
In a mobile phone in which a part of the housing is raised to accommodate an antenna unit or the like, the speaker unit may rise from the mounting surface when placed on a desk or the like. There is a problem that the size of the open space, which is formed between them, and through which the sound from the speaker is transmitted is deviated in some directions, so that it does not necessarily spread around the periphery in a well-balanced manner.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in such a background, and its purpose is to not only prevent the sound quality from being deteriorated, but also to enlarge the spread of sound to the surrounding space for the speaker facing the mounting surface, and It is an object of the present invention to provide a portable communication terminal device capable of transmitting sound equally to the surroundings.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A portable communication terminal device according to the present invention is a portable communication terminal device having a sound emission port of a speaker that generates a ringtone on the back side of a housing, wherein the housing has a flat mounting surface on the back side. When the speaker is placed on the housing, the sound emission opening of the speaker has a projection formed on at least both sides of the housing so as to be substantially evenly raised from the placement surface.
[0007]
Another portable communication terminal device according to the present invention is a portable communication terminal device having a speaker sound emitting port for generating a ring tone on the back side of a housing, wherein the housing has a flat mounting surface on the back side. When placed on the speaker, the sound emission port of the speaker rises from the placement surface, and has a protruding portion formed so as to form a space that is almost uniformly opened on at least both sides of the housing. And
[0008]
Still another mobile communication terminal device according to the present invention is a two-fold type mobile communication terminal device in which an upper housing and a lower housing are connected via a hinge, and an incoming call is received on the back side of the lower housing. The speaker has a sound emission port for generating sound, and the lower housing, when the back side thereof is mounted on a flat mounting surface, the sound emission opening of the speaker rises from the mounting surface described above. And a projection formed to form a substantially uniform open space at least on both sides of the housing.
[0009]
The protrusion may be a part of the housing or a member added to the housing.
[0010]
In any portable terminal device, preferably, an antenna member is housed in the protrusion. When there are a plurality of protrusions, it is sufficient to house the antenna in at least one of them, and there may be a protrusion in which the antenna member is not housed.
[0011]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Hereinafter, a mobile phone will be described as an example of the mobile communication terminal device of the present invention.
[0012]
FIG. 1 shows a configuration of a mobile phone according to a first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 1A is a front view of a state of being folded and placed on the placement surface 40, and FIG. 1B is a view of the state seen from behind. FIG. 1C is a view of the state as viewed from the side. This is a two-fold type mobile phone in which an upper housing 10 and a lower housing 20 are foldably connected via a hinge 15. In the present specification, the “view from the front” is a view as viewed from the hinge 15 side. The mobile phone of the present embodiment has a protruding portion 30 at the front end of lower housing 20, that is, at the side of hinge 15. As shown in FIG. 1A, the protrusion 30 extends across the width of the housing. The protruding portion 30 linearly contacts the mounting surface 40 at its lower end. The lower end of the lower end of the lower housing 20 is also in linear contact with the mounting surface 40. Therefore, the mobile phone is stably mounted on the flat mounting surface 40. As can be seen from the side view of FIG. 1C, a space is formed between the lower housing 20 and the mounting surface 40 when the mobile phone is mounted on the mounting surface 40. . This space forms an opening 63 symmetrical on both sides of the housing, that is, of the same size and shape.
[0013]
As a result, the sound emitted from the speaker unit 18 having the sound emission opening in the space can be spread evenly to the left and right through the openings 63 on both sides. Although the sound spread is not necessarily equal in the left-right direction and the front-back direction, this configuration makes it possible to transmit sound to the surroundings more evenly than in the related art. In addition, since a predetermined distance is maintained between the sound output port of the speaker unit 18 and the mounting surface 40, the magnetic substance is attracted by magnetism, and dust and the like are adhered to a large number of holes provided in the sound output port. Entry is reduced.
[0014]
3A and 3B are schematic side views of the two-fold type mobile phone shown in FIG. 1, wherein FIG. 3A shows a state where an upper housing is opened, and FIG. 3B shows a state where it is closed (folded). Is shown. A liquid crystal display unit 13 is provided on a main surface inside the upper housing 10, and a keyboard surface 17 is provided on a main surface inside the lower housing 20. An antenna is disposed in a protruding portion 30 protruding diagonally upward on the outer side in the vicinity of the hinge portion 15 of the lower housing 20.
[0015]
FIGS. 4A and 4B show examples of installation of antenna elements that can be considered in this mobile phone. In each case, the state of arrangement of the antenna elements in the protruding portion 30 is schematically shown from the outside.
[0016]
In the configuration of FIG. 4A, as shown in FIG. 4E, in order to separate the linear or plate-shaped (thin plate-shaped) antenna element 52 from the ground 56 in the lower housing as much as possible, the antenna element 52 Are arranged along the inner wall of the surface (A) 31 shown in FIG. Although it depends on the target free space radiation characteristics and bandwidth of the antenna, it is generally considered that the antenna is arranged in this way when the antenna Q is made as low as possible to obtain (increase) the band. Conceivable. However, as shown in FIG. 4A, the surface (A) 31 is most likely to be caught by the user's hand or finger. Therefore, when the hand or finger is caught on the antenna portion, as shown in FIG. 4C. It is considered that the antenna surface is covered with a finger, and the antenna characteristics are greatly deteriorated.
[0017]
Therefore, preferably, as proposed by the present applicant in Japanese Patent Application No. 2002-161078, the configuration and arrangement of the antenna elements as shown in FIGS. 4B and 4D are employed. However, this is not an essential requirement for the present invention. 4 (b) and 4 (d), the antenna element 50 is formed in a crank shape including a plate-shaped element portion 53 on the feeding point side and a plate-shaped element portion 54 connected to the side on the tip side. The angle formed between the element portion 54 and the element portion 53 is a predetermined angle. The “predetermined angle” is substantially a right angle in this example, but is not necessarily limited to a right angle. In the present embodiment, both element portions 53 and 54 are formed by bending an intermediate portion of a crank-shaped sheet metal (conductive plate-shaped member) along a boundary between the two portions. However, the two separated element parts 53 and 54 may be conductively joined. Further, it may be formed of metal foil instead of sheet metal. In this example, the element portion 53 on the power supply point side is arranged along the inner wall surface of the surface (A) 31 which is the top surface of the protruding portion 30, and only the element portion 54 on the open end side is caught by the user's hand or finger. It is configured to be arranged along the inner wall surface of the hard surface (B) 32. This is because, in general, even with one antenna element, the characteristics of a high-impedance portion are more deteriorated when covered with a hand or finger than a low-impedance portion. Therefore, the open end portion of the antenna, which is a high impedance portion, can escape from the user's hand / finger. Here, “escape” means a state in which the degree of the antenna surface facing the hand or finger is small. This degree is minimized when the angle formed by the main surface of the antenna with the hand or finger surface is at or near a right angle. That is, in a state where the user's hand or finger is closest to the open end side of the antenna element from the outside of the housing in the open state, the main surface of the antenna element is at least over a predetermined length on the open end side. At right angles or close to this. In addition, according to this structure, the antenna element 50 is not arranged on the entire surface of the surface (B) 32 but is also arranged on the surface (A) 31 side. Antenna bandwidth degradation is also suppressed.
