- 네트웍 상에서 유일하게 식별되는 단말기와 하나 이상의 데이터 소스들과의 데이터 통신을 제어하는 방법으로서,(a) 상기 단말기와 상기 네트웍 사이에서 데이터 패킷 통신을 제어하고 영향을 미치는 통신 제어 링크를 개설하는 단계;(b) 상기 통신 제어 링크 상위에 상기 단말기와 상기 네트웍 간 하나 이상의 논리적 접속을 개설하는 단계;(c) 상기 네트웍과 상기 하나 이상의 데이터 소스들 간 다층 데이터 통신 채널을 개설하는 단계;(d) 상기 데이터 패킷 통신으로 상기 하나 이상의 논리적 접속을 통하여 응용 데이터를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로하는 방법.
- 제 22 항에 있어서,상기 단말기는 무선 이동 단말기인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 22 항에 있어서, 상기 단계 (d) 는상기 하나 이상의 논리적 접속을 통하여, 상기 단말기에 의하여 한번에 수신될 수 있는 최대 데이터 사이즈와 동일하거나 작은 사이즈의 블록으로 상기 응용 데이터를 분할하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1노드와 제2노드 간 데이터 통신을 제어하는 중계 장치에 있어서, 서로 상이한 통신 프로토콜들에 따라 응용 데이터를 패스하는 다중의 상이한 통신 프로토콜 스택을 포함하며,상기 다중의 통신 프로토콜 스택 중 하나는,상기 중계 장치와 상기 제1노드 간 데이터 패킷 통신을 제어하고 영향을 미치는 상기 제1노드와의 통신 제어 링크를 개설하는 통신 링크 계층;상기 통신 링크 계층의 상위에 존재하며, 상기 통신 제어 링크 상위에서 상기 제1노드와의 하나 이상의 논리적 접속을 개설하며, 상기 데이터 패킷 통신으로 상기 하나 이상의 논리적 접속을 통하여 상기 응용 데이터를 전송하는 통신 접속 계층을 포함하며,상기 다중의 통신 프로토콜 스택 중 다른 하나는,상기 제2노드와의 다층화된 데이터 통신 채널을 개설하여 상기 다층화된 데이터 통신 채널을 통하여 상기 응용 데이터를 전송하는 통신 제어 계층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 중계 장치.
- 제 25 항에 있어서,상기 제1노드는 무선 이동 단말기인 것을 특징으로 하는 중계 장치.
- 제 25 항에 있어서,상기 하나 이상의 논리적 접속을 통하여, 상기 제1노드에 의하여 한번에 수신될 수 있는 최대 데이터 사이즈와 동일하거나 작은 사이즈의 블록으로 상기 응용 데이터를 분할하는 것을 특징으로 하는 중계 장치.
- 네트웍과의 데이터 통신을 수행하며, 통신 프로토콜 스택을 포함하는 단말기로서, 상기 통신 프로토콜 스택은,상기 단말기와 네트웍 사이에서 데이터 패킷 통신을 제어하고 영향을 미치는 통신 제어 링크를 개설하는 통신 링크 계층; 및상기 통신 링크 계층의 상위에 존재하며, 상기 통신 제어 링크 상위에서 하나 이상의 논리적 접속을 개설하며, 상기 데이터 패킷 통신으로 상기 하나 이상의 논리적 접속을 통하여 상기 단말기와 네트웍 간 응용 데이터를 전송하는 통신 접속 계층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단말기.
- 제 28 항에 있어서,상기 단말기는 무선 이동 단말기이고, 상기 통신 링크 계층은 무선 통신의 제어와 관리 및 단말기의 무선 관리를 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단말기.
- 제 28 항에 있어서,상기 단말기는 상기 단말기가 한번에 수신할 수 있는 최대 데이터 사이즈와 동일하거나 작은 사이즈의 블록으로 상기 응용 데이터를 수신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단말기.
