Theapron 12 has afirst surface 14, asecond surface 16 andperipheral edge 18 extending therebetween. Theperipheral edge 18 has a firstlateral side 20, a secondlateral side 22 and atop side 24. Each of the first 20 and second 22 lateral sides has acurved portion 26 and thecurved portion 26 corresponding to each of the first 20 and second 22 lateral sides is concavely arcuate between the corresponding first 20 and second 22 lateral sides and thetop side 24. Thefirst surface 14 abuts a torso when theapron 12 is worn. - A
pouch 28 is provided that has aperipheral edge 30. Theperipheral edge 30 of thepouch 28 has anupper side 32 and theperipheral edge 30 of thepouch 28 is coupled to thesecond surface 16 of theapron 12. Theupper side 32 is spaced from theapron 12 to define anopening 33 into thepouch 28 for receiving objects. Afirst strap 34 is coupled to theapron 12 and thefirst strap 34 extends around a neck when theapron 12 is worn thereby suspending theapron 12 on the neck. Thefirst strap 34 has afirst end 36 andsecond end 38. Each of the first 36 andsecond ends 38 is coupled to thetop side 24 of theapron 12 such that thefirst strap 34 forms a closed loop. - A

Athird strap 44 is coupled to theapron 12 and thethird strap 44 is positioned on the secondlateral side 22. Thethird strap 44 has adistal end 46 with respect to theapron 12. Thedistal end 42 of thesecond strap 40 is selectively tied to thedistal end 46 of thethird strap 44. In this way each of the second 40 and third 44 straps are wrapped around the torso when theapron 12 is worn. - A pair of
elastic members 48 is provided and each of theelastic members 48 is coupled to theapron 12. Each of theelastic members 48 has afirst end 50 and asecond end 52. Thefirst end 50 of each of theelastic members 48 is coupled to thesecond surface 16 of theapron 12. Moreover, each of theelastic members 48 extends downwardly along thesecond surface 16. Theelastic members 48 are spaced apart from each other and each of theelastic members 48 is comprised of a resiliently stretchable material. - A pair of

Each of thepockets 54 comprises afirst panel 56 that has aperimeter edge 58 and theperimeter edge 58 of thefirst panel 56 has atop side 60. - A
second panel 62 is provided that has aperimeter edge 64 and theperimeter edge 64 of thesecond panel 62 has atop side 66. Theperimeter edge 64 of thesecond panel 62 is coupled to theperimeter edge 58 of thefirst panel 56. Moreover, thetop side 60 of thefirst panel 56 is spaced from thetop side 24 of thesecond panel 62 to define anopening 66 for receiving the hand. Thesecond panel 62 is comprised of a thermally insulating material. Thetop side 66 of the second panel corresponding to each of thepockets 54 is coupled to thesecond end 52 of an associated one of theelastic members 48. - In use, the
apron 12 is worn and having thefirst strap 34 extending around the neck and having each of the second 40 and third 44 straps being tied around the torso. Each of the hands is selectively inserted into theopening 66 in an associated one of thepockets 54. Thus, the hot object may be grabbed without burning the hands. In this way the hot object may be manipulated when theapron 12 is worn without the use of oven mitts or the like. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
