Definitions
- the invention is based on a hand-held power tool according to the preamble of claim 1.
- DE-OS 34 43 186 already describes
- Jaw chuck for hand-held power tools known with a chuck body which has bores for the chuck jaws which run obliquely forward and which is connected to the striking mechanism sleeve via a coupling.
- the ring gear for moving the chuck jaws is formed in two parts and is held in a groove of the chuck body by an annular sleeve.
- This jaw chuck is difficult to assemble and does not sit on the hammer mechanism sleeve without play due to the coupling.
- the practical disassembly of the chuck is made more difficult due to the inaccessibility of the clutch lock.
- the hand tool according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that the chuck can be assembled by simply plugging the individual parts together and can be easily dismantled for cleaning or maintenance. At the same time, the chuck is lighter and shorter than the previous coupled designs and it sits perfectly because it is arranged directly on the drilling spindle or the striking mechanism without wobbling. This leads to a significantly improved concentricity of the drills used.
- the simplified assembly of the drill chuck and other machine parts from one side of the chuck body also simplifies the transmission of the rotary drive and the safety coupling.
- FIG. 1 shows a first exemplary embodiment
- FIG. 2 shows a second
- FIG. 3 shows a third exemplary embodiment.
- the first embodiment of a jaw chuck for a rotary hammer shows a tubular chuck base body 2 which receives a striking mechanism 4 in its rear part 3 facing the rotary hammer.
- the chuck body 2 has a front part 5 on the tool side with a smaller diameter than the rear part 3.
- the transition between the two parts is formed by a conical intermediate piece 6.
- three circumferentially spaced slots 7, which extend obliquely inward in the axial direction, are arranged, which form rectilinearly inclined support surfaces 8 in the base body 2, in the area of the front part 5 break through the inner wall of the feed body 2 and open out towards the front.
- the chuck body 2 has vent holes 9 and idle holes 10 with an annular groove.
- Chuck jaws 12 can be inserted into the slots 7, which have threaded teeth 13 on their outside and hard metal inserts 14 on the inside.
- a support ring 16 is pushed on the front, which is supported to the rear against the intermediate piece 6 and is additionally secured in the exemplary embodiment by a snap ring 17.
- the support ring 16 is secured against rotation by a nose 19 engaging in a longitudinal groove 18 in the base body 2 of the chuck.
- the support ring 16 has slots 20 for the passage of the chuck jaws 12.
- one or more spring-loaded securing bolts 21 are arranged in the support ring 16, which act against locking troughs 23 in a one-piece toothed ring 24 pushed onto the chuck base body 2 following the support ring 16.
- the ring gear 24 carries teeth 25 in a known manner for engaging conventional chuck keys 26 and on the inside a conical thread 27 which interacts with the thread teeth 13 of the chuck jaws 12.
- the ring gear 24 On the outside, the ring gear 24 carries a cover sleeve 28, which covers the support ring 16 and extends to the housing 29 of the rotary hammer.
- the ring gear 24 has an annular recess 30 in the area of the teeth 25, in which a jaw guide sleeve 32 pushed onto the chuck base body 2 comes to rest, which thus also serves to center the ring gear 24.
- the jaw guide sleeve 32 has obliquely inwardly extending guide surfaces 33, against which the rear sides of the chuck jaws 12 rest.
- the guide surfaces 33 continue on lugs 34, which engage in the slots 7 of the chuck body 2 and thus also prevent the jaw guide sleeves 32 from rotating.
- the jaw guide sleeve 32 is secured against falling out to the front by a locking ring 35 in the chuck body 2, but can also be firmly connected to the chuck body 2, for example by welding become.
- an elastic dust cap 36 made of rubber or the like is attached at the front; it also has a bore 37 for inserting the chuck key 26.
- the pneumatic striking mechanism 4 essentially consists of a hollow piston 39 which is driven back and forth in the chuck base body 2, which at the same time serves as the striking mechanism tube, in which a striker 40 is guided. This releases its energy to one or more firing pins 41, 42, which in turn act on the tool 15.
- the firing pins 41, 42 of which at least the front one has a diameter taper 43 toward the tool, are guided in a guide sleeve 44 and secured to the front, which in turn is supported forward against the conical intermediate piece 6.
- EP 50 192 Bl US 44 46 931).
- the chuck body 2 can be driven in rotation via a drive ring 46 connected to it, which is connected via a safety coupling 47 to a drive gear 48, which is preferably set in rotation via a gear on a motor, not shown.
- the driving ring 46 can be firmly pressed or welded onto the chuck base body 2 or can also be connected in one piece to it, since, in contrast to the prior art, all parts can be assembled or disassembled from the front onto the chuck base body 2.
- the second embodiment differs from the first only in the area of the jaw guide sleeve and the ring gear. Therefore, only the modified components are described, which are provided with reference numerals increased by 100.
- the jaw guide sleeve 132 is formed in one piece with the support ring 116.
- the ring gear 124 is pushed over the jaw guide sleeve 132 and with a snap ring 150 secured.
- the gear rim 124 has on its side facing the hammer drill a narrow annular groove 151, in which a cover sleeve 128 attached to the housing 129 engages and can be rotated there.
- an impact drill is equipped with a jaw chuck which can be produced in a plug-in assembly and which largely corresponds to the first exemplary embodiment. Similar parts are therefore provided with reference numbers increased by 200.
- a basic chuck body 202 is formed in one piece with a drilling spindle 203, which can be acted upon by a catch mechanism 204.
- the front part 205 of the base body 202 is tubular. This is followed by a conical intermediate piece 206, which merges into the solid drilling spindle 203.
- the slots 207 break through the inner wall of the base body 202 and open out towards the front.
- Chuck jaws 212 can be inserted into the slots 207, which have threaded teeth 213 on their outside and hard metal inserts 214 on the inside.
- a support ring 216 is pushed onto the chuck body 202 from the front and is supported against the conical intermediate piece 206 to the rear.
- the support ring 216 is secured against rotation in a manner similar to that in the first exemplary embodiment and, corresponding to the slots 207, has slots 220 for the passage of the chuck jaws 212.
- a toothed ring 224 bears on the support ring 216, which is configured in exactly the same way as in the first exemplary embodiment and also has an ab Cover sleeve 228 has.
- the jaw guide sleeve 232 also does not differ from that of the first exemplary embodiment. Because of the dispensable locking device for the toothed ring 224, this drill chuck adapted to impact drills is shorter than the one from the first exemplary embodiment suitable for rotary hammers.
- the drilling spindle 203 is driven by an electric motor 249 via a gearwheel 248.
- the assembly of the drill chuck according to the invention is very simple.
- the support ring 16, 216 is first pushed onto the chuck base body 2, 202.
- the chuck jaws 12, 212 are then inserted and the ring gear 24, 224 pushed over them.
- the jaw guide sleeve 32, 232 is also placed on the base body 2, 202 from the front and fixed with the snap ring 35, 235.
- the chuck can be dismantled just as easily by removing the snap ring 35, 235 and pulling off the attached parts either individually or together from the chuck body 2, 202.
- the jaw guide sleeve 132 with the chuck jaws 112 already inserted is plugged onto the chuck base body 102 and fixed with the locking ring 135. Thereafter, or previously, the ring gear 124 is pushed onto the jaw guide sleeve 132 and also secured with a snap ring 150.
- the jaw chuck according to the invention can be easily dismantled even for non-specialists if required.
- the function of the jaw chuck is basically the same in all three exemplary embodiments:
- the chuck jaws 12, 112, 212 can be adjusted to the shaft diameter of the drilling tool 15 to be used.
- the jaws move in the slots 7, 107, 207 and 20, 120, 220 and are supported inwards on the support surfaces 8, 108, 208 and outwards mainly against the guide surfaces 33, 133, 233 in the jaw guide sleeve 32, 132, 232 onwards.
- the jaw guide sleeve also absorbs the clamping forces when clamping the tool 15.
- an anti-rotation device is arranged between the support ring 16, 116 and the ring gear 24, 124 in the first and second exemplary embodiments.
- the spring-loaded locking bolts 21 engage in recesses 23 of the ring gear 24 and thus prevent the ring gear from rotating independently.
