Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de surveiller un objet au moyen d'une unité de détection d'alarme décentralisée, affectée à un objet, et d'une centrale d'alarme, lesquelles sont reliées par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau informatique numérique comprenant un canal de signalisation et un canal de transmission de messages/données. Selon ledit procédé, lors de la détection (1) d'une alarme, une information représentant une liaison souhaitée est transmise de l'unité de détection d'alarme décentralisée à la centrale d'alarme, par l'intermédiaire du canal de signalisation du réseau numérique, ladite information comprenant une information donnant de façon non équivoque l'identité de l'unité de détection d'alarme décentralisée. L'information donnant, de façon non équivoque, l'identité de l'unité de détection d'alarme est mémorisée (7) par la centrale d'alarme, puis une indication d'alarme signalant l'unité de détection d'alarme concernée est produite (9). Enfin, si le canal de transmission de messages/données du réseau informatique numérique et libre, une liaison est établie (13) entre la centrale d'alarme et l'unité de détection d'alarme. En outre, des informations d'essai sont transmises cycliquement au cours des périodes sans signalisation, de l'unité de détection d'alarme décentralisée à la centrale d'alarme, par l'intermédiaire du canal de signalisation, la présence et/ou l'absence des informations d'essai permettant à la centrale d'alarme d'effectuer des déductions concernant l'unité de détection d'alarme décentralisée.
