Abstract

La présente invention concerne un engin volant à ascension verticale qui comprend une unité de sustentation qui, en cours de fonctionnement, développe une force comprenant une composante ascensionnelle. Une unité de charge utile est suspendue à l'unité de sustentation. L'unité de charge utile est suspendue à l'unité de sustentation de telle manière qu'elle lui confère une stabilité latérale qui lui permet néanmoins de voler à l'horizontale, sans subir les effets indésirables d'un moment de tangage descendant. Outre une unité de sustentation et une unité de charge utile, l'engin volant à ascension verticale de l'invention comprend une paire de roulements et une structure de suspension, qui coopèrent afin de suspendre l'unité de charge utile à l'unité de sustentation. L'invention se rapporte également à d'autres systèmes et procédés.
