Abstract

La présente invention concerne un ensemble écran tactile pour un dispositif électronique tel qu'un téléphone mobile ou assistant numérique personnel. L'ensemble écran tactile comprend en général un objectif flottant suspendu au-dessus de l'affichage et, éventuellement, du clavier pour permettre un degré de liberté. Une mince couche de connexion sous-jacente telle qu'un film flexible est fixée en dessous de l'objectif flottant, et une pluralité (par exemple quatre) de capteurs de pression montés de manière différentielle est montée en dessous de l'objectif flottant et est connectée électriquement au dispositif électronique par le biais du film flexible. Les capteurs de pression sont positionnés de manière différentielle le long d'un axe x et y afin d'enregistrer une pression z provenant d'une touche en direction de l'objectif dans chacune des quatre positions, pour fournir quatre ensembles de données (XM, yi.4, zμ). Un logiciel de commande interprète alors la coordonnée de touche exacte à partir des quatre ensembles de données et génère un signal de commande. Elle concerne aussi un éventuel générateur de réponse haptique et/ou capteur de mouvement. Lorsqu'elle est utilisée dans un dispositif électronique plus petit tel qu'un téléphone mobile ou assistant numérique personnel, la technologie de capteur d'écran tactile de la présente invention est extrêmement mince et permet un assemblage modulaire pour une construction plus ou moins 'encliquetable'.
