Abstract
1つの拠点aに設けられた顧客端末を主系と従系の2つで冗長化構成されたエッジノード(ゲートウェイ)にそれぞれ収容する。通常時は、主系のエッジノードPE Aが使用され、対向エッジノードPE B、PE Cを介して、拠点b、cの相手方顧客端末との通信を可能とする。また、通常時、主系エッジノードが使用するラベルの情報を格納したデータベースを従系エッジノードのデータベースと同期させておく。また、従系エッジノードに主系のループバックアドレスを格納して、無効化しておく。主系エッジノードに障害が発生した場合には、主系エッジノードのループバックアドレスを従系エッジノードで有効とし、主系が使用しているラベルの情報を格納したデータベースの情報を用いて、主系エッジノードと同じラベルを用いて従系エッジノードが対向エッジノードとの通信を再開する。
