Abstract

　ＩＥＥＥ８０２.３に準拠した複数のノードが所定の伝送線路によってリング型のトポロジのネットワークにおけるＲＳＴＰ処理を、ソフトウエアによることなく、ＯＳＩ参照モデルの物理層及びデータリンク層に係る処理を実行するハードウエアにより、極めて短い時間で処理し、リアルタイム伝送処理の要求を満たすリカバリ時間を実現する。各ノードのＲＳＴＰ処理部は、一方のＰＨＹ部がネットワークから受信し、このＰＨＹに接続された一方のＭＡＣ部におけるＢＰＤＵ送受信バッファに蓄積されたＢＰＤＵデータを、一方のＭＡＣ部と接続されたＢＰＤＵデータバスを介して受け取り、この受け取ったＢＰＤＵデータを解読して、所定の処理を実行した後、他方のＭＡＣ部と接続されたＢＰＤデータバスを介して受け渡して他方のＢＰＤＵ送受信バッファに転送し、この他方のＭＡＣ部に接続された他方のＰＨＹ部からネットワークに該ＢＰＤＵデータを送出する。
