Abstract

L'invention porte sur un circuit de correction de couleurs et sur un dispositif de présentation d'images l'utilisant, configurés pour effectuer une correction de couleurs optimale d'un signal vidéo en renforçant où supprimant certaines teintes spécifiques en réponse aux caractéristiques d'une vidéo à partir de ses informations de brillance et de son histogramme de chromaticité, et permettant de corriger la couleur d'une teinte arbitraire et par là une caractéristique de l'écran. A cet effet, l'invention se caractérise en ce qu'elle comporte: une unité de détection (11-14) détectant l'information de brillance du signal vidéo et l'histogramme de chromaticité contenant la saturation, la chromie et la teinte de la couleur; et une unité de commande (15, 16) gérant la reproduction des couleurs du signal vidéo en fonction de l'information de brillance et de l'histogramme de chromaticité, détectés par l'unité de détection.
