La présente invention concerne un lavabo qui comprend : une partie cuve de lavage (11) et une partie externe (12) qui est reliée à la partie périphérique externe de la partie cuve de lavage (11) et dont le bord inférieur est placé sur un élément de support (20). Au niveau du joint entre la surface périphérique externe (12c) de la partie externe (12) et le bord externe (12i) d'une partie de placement (12b) qui est placée sur l'élément de support (20), une partie seuil (12A) est formée de manière à avoir une forme dans laquelle le côté partie de placement (12b) est disposé plus en retrait vers le côté surface externe (11f) de la partie cuve de lavage (11) que la surface périphérique externe (12c). La partie seuil (12A) a une taille qui permet un jointement avec l'élément de support (20).
