HoneyBook

Pros: HoneyBook is where it’s at. I love HoneyBook for all of its features, including contracts with digital signing options, invoicing, scheduling, workflows, and also knowing where each client is at in the booking process.

Cons: I don’t like that you can’t schedule and then automate a project and file. I wish my clients could schedule and then book all at the same time. I would also like to see a sales page option!

Overall: Overall, I can’t imagine running my photography business without HoneyBook. It has changed my business in the best way possible, all those years ago!

Pros: I love how it helps me manage all my projects in one place. It keeps my clients emails, brochures, invoices, Etc all organized in their project which is all accessible with a client web link too.

Cons: There could be a few more customization options when it comes to fonts and font color. But they listen to their customer feedback and frequently update features.

Overall: HoneyBook is helping me manage my projects easily and keeps everything in one place. It has saved me a lot of time and is well worth the investment, I get a lot of compliments too for how organized everything is!

Pros: I like how it's easy to use and very efficient when doing business fast and easy.

Cons: Sometimes it's stops working and I don't know why.

Overall: I will keep using it. The price and the credit card fee is too high but overall it is a great solution.

Pros: Seamless experience for the client. Easy to receive payments. I feel more organized as a business owner.

Cons: Hard to first learn how to use SmartFiles. They take out a credit card fee, which is understandable.

Overall: I love HoneyBook! I'm a professional photographer and the client has such a great experience from beginning to end.

Pros: I love how everything is in one place and I can easily access information from my phone. I am constantly using the app and the email features, which I love!

Cons: I wish I could customize my files a little more to make them fit my brand.

Overall: Overall I would recommend this system to anyone who owns a business and has to keep track of things!

Pros: Ease of client interaction, task manager to stay on top of items I would normally forget, the email templates & the click to sign contracts. Being a photographer it is important to have be professional in the field, but even more so on the backend and this has changed the professionalism of my business!

Cons: The app version is glitchy unfortunately, but still useful!

Overall: 9/10! The site itself is wonderful and easy to learn and navigate. I recommend it to everyone I know because it saved my mental health and my business!

Pros: I love the ability to store clients contact info., send proposals quickly and efficiently and the professional interface.

Cons: No cons as of now! I wanted the ability to send proposals as a link, but that has recently been updated.

Overall: I love my HoneyBook subscription! It makes my booking, onboarding and nurturing process with clients so much easier.

Pros: Organized way to keep all of my brides in one place and organized. Helps me from overbooking, helps me answer emails promptly, helps me weed out the brides who are not a good fit for my schedule or pricing. Helps keep me sane!

Cons: Smart Files…. I like my legacy files. I’m an old dog who doesn’t like new tricks.

Overall: 9 out of 10! Love the ease of using it, and how professional everything looks. I love the way we can offer different payment options.

Pros: Great with managing projects and sending reminders on when to follow-up or what stage of the process people are in.

Cons: Some things can end up in spam folders. But it is helpful being able to see when the email has been viewed.

Overall: HoneyBook has helped me stay organized and on top of client relations. I love that it will show when a file has been viewed.

Pros: Ease of use, the look and feel, organization and a one stop shop. I didn't want to have to use 100 different programs.

Cons: The only real con is that I wish they could have active checkouts for products like courses vs. having to invoice.

Overall: I have used HoneyBook for years and will continue to use them, they have made running my business easy.

Pros: It’s an all-in-one, excellent CRM that does just about everything I need. The structure of it is nice, and the interface and customization options. It still makes my life easier, regardless of the glitches.

Cons: The emails to some of my clients go to their junk folder and they can’t find a way to get them to go to inbox. I can’t set specific milestones and have had glitches with that payment option. Lastly, I want to use smart files but they don’t quite look as good as I’d like for them to. I wish I could attach larger pdfs instead for my pricing guide.

Overall: Overall, I like HoneyBook but I have been considering other alternative options. The competitor, Dubsado, has had great reviews and I’ve been thinking about making the switch but I do recall Dubsado wasn’t quite as user intuitive so I’m not sure.

Pros: I love having all of my clients information, contracts etc in one place. Not to mention making getting paid easier!

Cons: The only thing I’d like to improve is the ease of manipulating and updating the contracts/forms.

Overall: I have used HoneyBook for almost 5 years now and have never regretted the decision to invest. I love having all of my clients information in one place and keeping my contracts templates updated makes it easy to just send it out to a client and be done.

Pros: HoneyBook is a great platform overall. There is a lot of customization and great workflows to help make things easier. The platform on the business owners end is the best I’ve seen and I can easily find all the tools I need. Customer service is great and price is competitive. I feel you get the most tools and features over other CRMs!

Cons: I don’t like the smart files at all. I find them too confusing and cluttered. It feels like yet another thing I have to hire someone to design for me and it’s slowed down my workflow ever since they’ve changed it. I’d prefer to send contracts and invoices with a simple, clean design with the ability to add at least a logo and brand colors. I don’t need it to look like a brochure or fancy pdf with videos and photos. Plus I hate how the smart files break up my email communication chain on my projects.

Overall: Over all best CRM I’ve tried. Don’t have many complaints! Improve the smart files usability and you have 5 stars from me.

Pros: Everything about HoneyBook makes us run our business a breeze! Being able to have everything in one centralized place makes for staying on top of clients effortless.

Cons: There are no cons that we have come across. Everything about HoneyBook has made running our business a breeze.

Overall: The best thing about HoneyBook is that it enables us to provide the attentive details that our clients deserve.

Pros: Integrating HoneyBook into my current systems and processes was extremely simple to do, and works well. They also are dedicated to continually improving the system. Increasing competition in the CRM space built for creative small business owners has only helped accelerate some of these changes.

Cons: There are limited ways to accept payments from clients compared to other systems, but fee structure is *similar* to (not better than) most payment processors. There are also some minor issues with some emails getting sent to client spam, but showing as “read” in HoneyBook, so it’s difficult to know if a client has actually gotten a message or if you need to follow up.

Overall: Overall, their staff and the features of HoneyBook work mode my businesses. It is easy to set up, easy to manage, easy to get help.

Pros: The ease of sending contracts and ability for my client to sign quickly. I like the notifications in this process as well.

Cons: The email threads can be very annoying for some of my clients. If I add someone to the project, it sends it to everyone; I can't pick and choose who I want to send specific files to.

Overall: Great for me to keep organized. I'm able to archive clients projects but easily reference them when needed.
