a new version of the standalone editor for the CORAS Risk Modelling
Language has just been released and is available for download from the
SourceForge.net website:

This is a 2.0 Beta 2 release of a standalone application to be embedded
with the future release of the version 3.0 of the CORAS Tool.

Among the higlights are :=20
 - new and updated CORAS Risk Modelling Language elements and graphical
profile
 - updated constraints and rules for legal regulations
 - new file format for storing diagrams based on xml and the coras
profile instead of java objects
 - FIle->new to create a new model without restart=20

Pluss many other bugfixes and appaerance improvements.

 INSTALLATION
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D
Unpack the zip file containing the CORAS diagram editor in a
suitable location.  This will create a directory named
'diagram-editor-2.0-SNAPSHOT'.

To use the CORAS diagram editor, you also need the Java SE 5 runtime
environment (JRE) or development kit (JDK), which can be downloaded
from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/

 USAGE

In windows, you can double-click the diagram-editor-2.0b1.jar file
located in the installation directory to run the diagram editor.
It can also be run with the command

  java -jar diagram-editor-2.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
