"Great system for sending out press releases and connecting with journalists."
What do you like best about Onclusive?

I like the interface. It is very easy to use and to know where to place the elements of your press release and the guidance it gives you in pulling together the best release possible. It is easy to add the correct images, other information relevant to your story.

The network of journalists is fairly extensive, and it is easy to select journalists by location or trade, meaning that you send this to a wide array of contacts, giving you the best chance of getting good coverage.

It was easy to sign up for my account and implement this as part of my working routine. I use the system on a regular basis and it was easy to integrate this as part of a wider team, who also use this daily as part of the press service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

I found the customer support function difficult to use at times. There is a popup on the site that isn't always the easiest to find, and from there the options are limited, which meant I resorted to putting out messages on social media in the hopes that someone would pick them up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

Thanks for sharing your review. We’re glad to hear you find the updated interface easy to use and that having everything in one place helps you access and organize your coverage more efficiently. We appreciate your feedback about search results and clip delivery times — our team is continuously refining both to make results more precise and alerts even more timely.

"Works as described and comprehensive"
What do you like best about Onclusive?

Setting up tracking searches works well, and it's good about catching things on TV and radio which can be tricky. I enjoy the ability to go before and after the initial snippet from the media mentions, and being able to save a radio clip directly in the tool is nice for those shows that don't upload their episodes online. I have it update me daily, but it's also nice that it won't email me on weekends. The staff has been nothing but helpful and frequently reaching out, and really helped me move from our previous platform to Critical Mention. I also am a big fan of the database of media contacts, it has been very useful in updating our records to reach out for PR related send outs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

There are a few sites that were not getting picked up that I was aware of based on my own manual searches, and I had to go back and forth with support a few times before I was regularly getting them (even now it's still a bit hit or miss). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

Thanks for your review, Donald. We're happy to hear that you find Onclusive's broadcast and radio clip features so useful - it's a key part of our promise to deliver comprehensive coverage. We've noted your feedback on missing sites and are committed to improving our online news and media monitoring capabilities to ensure you're always getting all the earned media you need. It's great to hear that our customer support team has been so helpful in your transition and that our media contacts database is proving its value.

"Improved the quality of my monthly reports to leadership"
What do you like best about Onclusive?

What I like most about Onclusive is how much easier it makes tracking and reporting earned media coverage. Before using the platform, I relied on Google Alerts, which often missed mentions or lacked detail. Onclusive allows me to monitor media coverage more accurately and consistently, which has significantly improved the quality of my monthly reports to leadership. I am able to show the audience reach and dollar value of our messaging, which not only demonstrates the impact of our marketing efforts but also reinforces the value of my role. Leadership has even started sharing these insights with sponsors and board members, which has helped elevate the visibility of our work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

One downside to Onclusive is that it doesn’t track radio mentions as I initially expected.** This has made it difficult to provide a fully accurate report of our monthly earned media to leadership, especially since we have several PSAs running on local radio stations. Including more radio tracking would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

Thanks for your review, Michelle. We’re thrilled to hear that Onclusive's made tracking and reporting your earned media coverage so much easier, and that our audience reach and earned media value metrics have helped you showcase the impact of your marketing efforts to leadership. It’s wonderful to know these insights are also helping raise the visibility of your team’s work with sponsors and board members. We appreciate your feedback about radio tracking; expanding our local station coverage is an ongoing priority as we continue to enhance our comprehensive media monitoring capabilities.

"Highly recommend switching after using competitor products"
What do you like best about Onclusive?

As press lead at my organization, I switched us to Onclusive (Critical Mention) from a well-known competitor platform that we had been using for years. I was impressed by the modern and user-friendly back end, as well as the robust customer service and customization features without it being too complicated.

As we were going through the demo, I was sold just based on seeing how this platform pulled in podcast data that hadn't been available on the platform I was using. Overall, the transition went smoothly and was low-lift on our part thanks to Caitlin Thurnauer's great customer support.

Since switching a year ago, it has been easy to onboard other staff so that they can use the search and monitoring functions to support their research work. This means that instead of just our media professionals using the platform, we've been able to expand our usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

I have found the addition of new media contacts via the search function to be an occasional challenge. For example, if I am searching for reporters writing about a current event, I will see hundreds of results for news articles, but it will only pull five media contacts. Both the media tracking and reporter databases are robust, it just seems like it is the overlap in this one feature can yield mixed results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

Thanks for your review, Ashley. We’re so glad your switch to Onclusive went smoothly and that you’ve found the platform’s interface, podcast tracking, and outreach tools so helpful. It’s great to hear your wider team is now using it to support their monitoring and research, too. We appreciate your feedback on the media contacts database and are continuing to refine this feature to deliver more relevant results.

"Helpful media monitoring with good support, but clunky interface and limited social media features"
What do you like best about Onclusive?

Onclusive's Critical Mention is helpful for daily media monitoring, providing useful reminders and alerts about press mentions and keywords. It reliably tracks coverage across traditional media channels, which made it easy to stay informed about relevant topics. Customer support was responsive and helpful whenever we needed to update billing or had questions about queries, which made resolving issues smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

The interface feels clunky and outdated, making it harder to navigate than other tools. Social media monitoring is very limited, for example, I had to log into Facebook each time to access posts, and it doesn’t integrate smoothly with other platforms. Searching often had to be done manually, and despite the high price, it didn’t deliver as many features as expected. Ease of integration with other systems was also limited, and the number of features felt constrained compared to competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

Thanks for sharing your feedback, Christopher. We’re glad to hear Onclusive has been helpful for your daily media monitoring and that our support team has been responsive. We understand your concerns about the interface and social media monitoring features — improving usability and expanding our integrations are key priorities for our product team. We appreciate your input as we continue working to deliver a smoother, more connected experience across all media channels.

"Excellent Coverage Reports. Clients Love Them"
What do you like best about Onclusive?

The coverage reports are excellent, providing all links in one place, easy to digest analytics, and an overall aesthetic that is pleasing to the eye. Our clients love to use them in presentations to stakeholders, executives, etc. to show the value of our work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

It misses a lot of coverage. I use about three different alert tools to catch as many mentions as possible, coverage caught by other alert systems are often missed by Critical Mention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

"great for people who engage in the media and want results"
What do you like best about Onclusive?

As someone who frequently engages with the media and consults across several brands in the health and wellness space, staying informed about how and where my work is being featured is essential. Onclusive has been an invaluable tool for streamlining my media monitoring and PR strategy. It provides real-time insights that are both comprehensive and easy to interpret, allowing my team and me to track coverage, measure impact, and respond quickly when needed.

I especially appreciate the platform’s ability to connect media mentions to actual business outcomes—a huge asset in today's fast-moving digital landscape. The user-friendly dashboards and reporting features help me better understand audience reach and engagement, which is critical when evaluating the success of campaigns or public appearances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

No downsides that I can think of. I was happy with the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

We appreciate your review! It’s great to hear our customer service team has been helpful and responsive. We get that the backend coding can be a challenge, and we’re always working on making the platform even more user-friendly. We’re proud to be your partner for media clip sourcing.

"Great for collecting mentions and it monitors more media outlets - not just those on the internet."
What do you like best about Onclusive?

It's great for collecting media mentions and it monitors more media outlets - not just those on the internet. If you want to monitor the internet (Google, Facebook, etc.) there are easy ways to do that. But Onclusive is especially good at traditional media monitoring like TV and radio. In particular radio, which doesn't get enough credit, in my opinion. A huge percentage of people listen to radio weekly. Knowing when a message airs on radio and TV is helpful. The ability to capture and share these reports with customization for clients is valuable. And the ability to sort mentions in different ways to show stakeholders the data from different angles is also useful. It's easy to use, intuitive, and you can search in a myriad of ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

It doesn't monitor enough radio. In smaller markets, often, just one or two stations are monitored. We know from our own monitors in these markets there are numerous untrackable mentions. They can't "hear" everything, but they do a good job for a good price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Media Monitoring Experience"
What do you like best about Onclusive?

Critical Mention provides real-time media monitoring alerts from the sources we are most interested in hearing from, including an extensive collection of broadcast outlets. Probably most impressed by the volume and ease of capturing broadcast mentions compared to other platforms we've used previously. Easy to set up saved searches or do a one-time search for a specific unique mention. I don't feel like I need to worry about missing out on coverage, it feels very comprehensive. Ease of sharing broadcast clips with other teammates is probably the best I've experienced compared to other competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

Still trying to figure out the best way to filter out mentions that are not relevant to us, particularly around our stock updates and movement, without excluding coverage we are interested in. Also, the formatting of the real time email alerts could be streamlined somewhat, cutting out some of the empty space to reduce the need to scroll and being able to see an effective overview at a glance. Also, if the emails could link directly through to the article, rather than to the mention in Critical Mention when applicable that would be ideal. Not a large issue, but the real time email alerts could also come through faster. We were receiving competitor alerts for a time period overlapping our Critical Mention alerts and noticed the competitor could come in sometimes 30 minutes faster than Critical Mention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

Thank you for the detailed feedback! We’re so glad our real-time monitoring gives you comprehensive coverage — especially for broadcast clips — and helps your team stay proactive with reputation management. We’ve noted your ideas for improving email alerts and are optimizing delivery speed and precision to make our real-time alerts as sharp and useful as possible.

"Broadcast monitoring takes things to the next level"
What do you like best about Onclusive?

By far, the best part of using Onclusive is the way in which the platform allows us to track and monitor media mentions across online and broadcast. Many competitors struggle to incorporate broadcast mentions alongside the easier-to-track online mentions, but having it all under one umbrella is crucial for our analysis – particularly during an era in which many TV/radio stations are scaling back publishing online stories to accompany all of their broadcast material. Customer support is extremely responsive. We use Onclusive every single day in order to build our news summaries and report on our earned media impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Onclusive?

The media contacts database could be updated more frequently, as job turnover within journalism is higher than ever. I would also like to see an iPhone app version down the line -- the web-based version of the platform is not super easy to navigate on a phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yuriana Coss of Onclusive

We appreciate your review and are thrilled that you're finding our broadcast monitoring to be a crucial part of your daily news summaries. We understand that journalism has a high turnover, and we are constantly working to ensure our media contacts database is as current as possible. We've also noted your suggestion for a mobile app to make the web-based version easier to navigate on the go.
