"Keep up the good work"
What do you like best about Anomalo?

Users praise Anomalo most for its powerful, AI-driven anomaly detection that automatically monitors data without extensive manual configuration. Its automated root-cause analysis is also a key strength, saving significant time during data incidents Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anomalo?

Customers report that the data quality platform Anomalo has several notable drawbacks, including a high volume of unhelpful alerts, a non-transparent pricing structure, and a lack of certain advanced capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Anomalo is the best batteries included data monitoring solution we've come across"
What do you like best about Anomalo?

+ As an administrator it was really easy to setup Anomalo on our existing infra and get it up and working quickly. This means that we could start finding value really quickly. We set Anomalo up with our k8s infra and it was fairly easy

+ Anomalo conistently finds small issues in our datasets and helps us identify the cause even before vendors detect them. We've pushed issues upstream multiple times when the data producer isn't aware of the issue yet

+ In the past, we've explored many different solutions for this problem and Anomalo has worked much better than all of our home grown solutions in terms of adoption as well as value-added

+ Anomalo UI is extremely easy and awesome to use. This makes it much easier for data analysts and non technical teammates to onboard and add custom checks vs creating a code change.

+ Anomalo's team has been incredibly responsive and helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anomalo?

- Checks are not very configurable. If a dataset gets a sudden increase in rows which is expected, Anomalo will alert 2-3 days before it learns the new normal

- Anomalo's out of the box tests can be expensive(in runtime + cost of computing metrics). They scan all columns even the ones which might not be used anywhere resulting in some wasted work

- Alerts can be noisy and its up to the team to make sure they have a process to work through each alert Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An excellent way to monitore data quality"
What do you like best about Anomalo?

Anomalo is a great tool for monitoring general data quality. Beyond the default metrics, like data freshness and availability, it's excellent to be able to configure custom verifications. To highlight some awesome features, the anomaly history is very useful for understanding the main variations in column statistics. In the custom possibilities, being able to configure alerts using multiple columns, multiple tables or SQL brings several monitoring configurations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anomalo?

One limitation that can be mentioned is the impossibility of configuring a BigQuery wildcard table as one single table. The Google Analytics integration with BigQuery is an example; the data is saved in a wildcard table but monitoring the data quality of users' interaction with our website is essential, so it would be great to have this feature in Anomalo. "Best tool for actionable insights directly interpretable by business users"
What do you like best about Anomalo?

It's the best data quality/validation tool for engaging business users and developers. The Root Cause Analysis features provide us with better arguments when approaching developers and less work digging into what is causing data quality problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anomalo?

Customization needs to be more present. For use cases outside of the original tool, things can become infeasible. Also, it does not provide a precise view of collateral cost running validations of the Data Warehouse (which can be a problem in big projects with large tables). "Anomalo is an easy-to-use and powerful data observability tool."
What do you like best about Anomalo?

Clear and intuitive interface

Low entry threshold. Using Anomalo does not require many hours of study and training.

Beautiful data graphs, very helpful when analyzing data and detecting any anomalies

Setting up a new table takes 1 minute and there are 8 built-in checks right from the start

There is a large variety of custom checks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anomalo?

In its simplicity, Anomalo sometimes seems to be limited and lacks certain functionalities.

For example:

- Tools and functionality to support multiple teams are missing, such as sending notifications for the same table to different destinations. Possibility of adding comments by different teams or tagging tables.

- There are no tools to control the amount of scanned data (to be able to control costs) to decide whether a given table is worth keeping in Anomalo at all Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pulse Dashboard in Anomalo platform is pivotal for health checks & improving our data quality drives"
What do you like best about Anomalo?

With Anomalo, we could easily focus on improving coverage for our important tables & passing metric checks. We can obtain a deep dive into any statistics so that we have clarity on what should be our priority. This also gives visibility to tables that impact our SLA by overviewing their data arrival time in our dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anomalo?

We have recently started using Anomalo to identify data impasses & determine its RCA quickly. We would like to have proper documentation for its features so that it would be easy for us to get familiar with its platform. We integrate Anomalo with our customer data warehouse to perform seamless data quality checks and regulate alerts in case of anomalies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
