I signed up for AppyPie a few years ago because it looked affordable, but my experience has been the opposite. At every turn I’ve been pushed to pay hundreds more—often just to get what I’d consider basic support - like resubmitting an app after their platform failed a compliance check. Support has been relentless about upcharges and upgrades. On one occasion, a support rep insisted I owed hundreds of dollars for something I had already paid and wouldn’t back down until I dug through my credit card statements and proved it.

The pricing appears cheap at first, but in practice you end up paying far more—especially when their platform has a problem and you’re told the “solution” is another paid upgrade. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend AppyPie and after years tolerating this nonsense we are finally looking to change platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike the service they are offering. For instance, they provide support for the app we have built on their platform. We have taken their best deal, negotiated the price and when we took it, the service was really bad. App functionalities simply break without us doing anything. Ease of integration and ease of use are overshadowed by the fact that almost every day things crash without us doing anything. And to top it off, they offer us another deal for 2400€ per year for server fee, that didn't existed before, to migrate and maintain our one app because of recent google policies, and if we refuse to take it, they will simply shut our app down. The AppyPie software is very easy to use, and there are many options to personalise your app. I've noticed that they update their software regularly, and there are many templates to choose from to get you started. While it's easy to create the app, I've been grateful for the support provided by the customer service team for issues that have arisen with our Google Developer and Apple accounts. For the starter price, it's a great value where I was paying $50/mo for LeadPages. The drag n drop interface is pretty intuitive to use and easy to customize. They have lots of great templates/ themes to start with, or you can just give the AI some prompts and see what it comes up with to start. The support is very responsive, although it took me 3 days and 3 long conversations to resolve connecting my custom .love url with my website. I think it depends which rep you get helping you. Even if you don't know how to code, you can create a product you have planned without spending too much time on your own. You don't need to make a big effort to learn coding and details. What you get is nothing less than superb! For example, go to the app store and download "Nail Manicurist, lawhlp or roll call usa" browse. Once installed and opened, click the features. You will see a small amount of the parts featured within the Nail Manicurist app or any of the other two what they have to offer. If you can imagine it, you may be able to build it. Very Intuitive, easy to navigate, lots of tutorials, API integration of various other apps, such as Instagram and The Bible app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Feature set is pretty limited with things such as:

- Group Messaging does not keep members phone numbers annonymous, like other apps such as Remind app.

- Templates are not customizable enough

- Push notifications can not be deleted by end users

- Push notification background image can not be individually changed, independant of the main background image

- Form builder limited to too few characters to be very useful for longer agreement documents.

- RSS feeds do not always work as expected

- Lacking "help" as an app "feature" that can be added to an app.

- The login process is confusing with many times that I've gone to edit my app, I'm asked to start a new business. There needs to be a clearer path, also to the help area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
