"Seamless orchestration and reliability for data analytics pipelines!"
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Astro makes managing Airflow in our data analytics workflows incredibly smooth. It takes away the pain of infrastructure management, allowing us to focus on building insights instead of firefighting. The UI is clean, monitoring is straightforward, and scaling is effortless. I also appreciate the reliability – critical pipelines just run without constant babysitting. For our team, this has been a huge productivity boost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

There’s not much to dislike. Sometimes the learning curve for new team members can be steep because of Airflow concepts, but that’s not really Astro’s fault. If anything, I’d like to see even more built-in templates or best-practice guides for common data analytics use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent support"
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Astronomer has significantly improved how our team manages Airflow. What I appreciate most is the support—they are consistently available to answer our questions and offer practical guidance. Previously, we had to handle our own Airflow instance, which required a lot of preparation, learning, and time for every update. Now, with Astronomer, updates occur more frequently and seamlessly, allowing us to access the latest features without the complexity we faced before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

What I don’t like as much is that some features are still not fully supported. For example, Dataline or having an interface to better understand why certain pods are not starting, which can make troubleshooting more challenging in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Airflow orchestration with strong observability and support"
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Astro by Astronomer makes deploying and scaling Airflow much easier. The managed environment takes care of scheduling, logging, and monitoring with very little setup required. Its integration with CI/CD tools and compatibility with both Kubernetes and cloud-native runtimes help streamline pipeline operations. Customer support and documentation are excellent, making it well-suited for enterprise use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

There is less flexibility for custom configuration compared to managing your own Airflow instance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for getting started with Airflow without worrying about infra setup"
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

I started using Astro at my company back in 2021, focusing on Astro Hybrid deployments. Setting up a reliable Airflow cluster with proper networking and load balancing can be a complex task. Astronomer's Astro Hybrid product, however, significantly reduces the DevOps workload involved in maintaining the cluster, while still allowing you and your organization to keep control over your infrastructure and data. This lets you spend more time on what really matters: developing Airflow DAG code.

Additionally, it's straightforward to spin up or tear down Airflow clusters as needed for development purposes, which is especially helpful for comprehensive end-to-end or staging tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

While the support team is generally helpful, I've noticed that response times for support tickets have become increasingly slow, likely due to a growing customer base. Support is especially limited during East Asia timezones, where it can feel almost non-existent.

Additionally, when dealing with more complex issues, the responses to support tickets can sometimes be vague, even when I've provided all the necessary context in my initial request. I recognize that it's challenging to address complicated problems thoroughly, particularly when communication involves both support engineers and developers. For these more involved cases, if your company has access to a dedicated Slack channel shared with Astronomer developers, I recommend using it. This direct line of communication can make it much easier to resolve issues efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stellar Experience with Astronomer—Highly Recommended!"
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Choosing the right partner, especially in complex technical domains, can be challenging, but working with Astronomer has been a truly exceptional experience. From the initial consultation to the final deployment, their team demonstrated a level of expertise and dedication that is rarely seen.

What stands out most is their commitment to our success. The Astronomer team didn't just provide a solution; they acted as true partners, deeply understanding our specific needs and delivering reliable, high-performance results quickly and efficiently. Their solutions are robust, scalable, and clearly built on a foundation of deep, industry-leading knowledge.

The customer support is also top-notch—responsive, knowledgeable, and always ready to go the extra mile. If you are looking for a company that combines innovation with unwavering dependability, look no further than Astronomer. They are, without a doubt, a first-rate organization. What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

The initial learning curve for the platform's advanced features was steep; a few more introductory tutorial videos would be a huge benefit for new users. This, however, is a small trade-off for the power and flexibility the platform offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Observability and Easy Integration, but Issues with New Airflow Version"
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

I appreciate the observability the platform provides for all of our company's deployments. Additionally, the integration with platforms such as GitHub and Bitbucket to sync the DAGs is very useful. Deploying with the API is straightforward and user-friendly, but at the moment, I personally prefer syncing DAGs rather than including them in the image.

My team always push new dags and the tool's uptime is quite good, as I have never seen any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

With the new version of airflow, I have some problems with the pods that run all the process. But nothing with astronomer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful and user-friendly platform for data workflows"
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

I really like how easy it's to use, even for complex workflows. The variety of operators makes it possible to handle almost any task, which saves a lot of time. The cost-to-benefit ratio is excellent, especially considering how much effort it reduces in managing pipelines. The UI is intuitive, scaling is straightforward, and the integration with Airflow gives me confidence in its reliability. It also helps the team collaborate better by making workflows transparent and easy to monitor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

Documentation can sometimes feel a bit fragmented, and deeper troubleshooting guidance would be helpful. Some advanced features require extra setup or technical knowledge, which can slow down new users. Pricing can also scale up quickly for larger teams or heavy usage, so better cost visibility would be a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top class at ease of use, with improvement points"
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Getting everything set up and running was a smooth process, thanks in part to the abundance of tutorials available for guidance. Whenever I needed assistance, the customer support team responded promptly and provided valuable help. Features can also be considered quite complete for a scheduling tool. It has also lots of integration with different types of cloud vendors, databases, and third parties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

I think stability can be improved further. At times, we experience a small short performance issues, for example Astro API endpoints that went down. I also feel like the support can provide a bit more insights into our environment/deployment setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Application with Open Accessibility for Support Engineers."
What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

I appreciate the UI improvements and the ability to access run statistics. Although I haven't had the opportunity to develop directly on Astro, the integration between GitHub and Astro provides me with all the information I need to carry out my responsibilities as a product support engineer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

The start time vs run time can be a little misleading. I don't have many complaints about Astro, it functions well, and does what it needs to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
