"One of the best bot hosting services"

What do you like best about Botpress?

Botpress makes it very easy to host bots on their cloud servers and they have a lot of integrations with platforms such as Whatsapp, Telegram, Zapier, Zendesk and much more.

The botpress studio is very user friendly and easy to use and scale up with for larger bots.

What do you dislike about Botpress?

Botpress has a lack of flexibility. Not all applications can be created using botpress. They have a few predefined libraries and if I want to use something else I can't.

Botpress also doesn't make it easy to handle complex messages like images and documents. My current system uses a server and AWS so that I can workaround the fact that I can't create files in my botpress workspace in real time and send them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Botpress?

I have tired multiple chatbot builders but Botpress it my favorite mainly because of its visual flow builder using the drag and drop interface. Its ease to build complex conversation flow. What problems is Botpress solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Botpress I can easily automate the customer interaction and solve their quires without any human need. I build an customer support chatbot for our automobile bike client. Building complex flows using visual flow builder saved alot of time. And its rapid knowledge base creation from website URL and pdf data helped to build faster instead of manually creating knowledge bases. Using its support for Groq LLM provider response latency and performance was solved which is very important for customer satisfaction. What do you dislike about Botpress?

The modern Botpress Cloud isn’t self-hostable, while the self-host option is v12, a separate, legacy codebase with a different architecture and feature set. If a workspace hits its monthly messages/events limit, bots stop responding until the next reset or you buy an add-on. Instead of wiring an LLM, RAG, tools, middleware, and UI yourself, Botpress gives you a single place (visual flows + code hooks) to design turns, call APIs, and control conversation state.

What do you like best about Botpress?

I tested several options, and the most comprehensive platform I found is Botpress. What I appreciate most is how it processes data from my website, PDFs, and documents into the knowledge base. I have tried to do this on other platforms, and it is not an easy task—yet it is truly the heart and brain of the chatbot. The platform has its complexities, and certain tasks can be a bit challenging to accomplish. I would recommend adding an AI chatbot that could help generate code for users. When I tried using ChatGPT, I found that some functions and options were deprecated, so I had to test and make corrections several times. In the end, though, everything worked out fine.
