What do you like best about Census?

What do you like best about Census?

* Saves us from learning a new API when we consume a new tool. Was very useful integrating with Braze, Vitally.

* Dry run to know what the thing would sync is useful

What do you dislike about Census?

* When I accidentally try to sign in with Google instead of using SAML, the screen hangs.

* Would be nice for Census to remember my login email when I log in again

* I think some of our syncs are being counted towards our usage quota in our staging environment when I feel like only production usage should be counted

* It's hard to parse different pricing across our external tools. Braze charges by field update

What do you like best about Census?

It is super easy to configure and maintain, most things are clicking through. SQL models and syncs are super intuitive. In our case, it is the best tool to quickly provide value to the business or POC some solutions, without huge development effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Census?

The only thing I can think of is not always the best notifications of syncs. Census is always providing very helpful notifications on sync failures, but more from the Census end. If an actual error happens on the destination system end it is not always considered a sync failure. For example Salesforce sync and if we have rows that are going to be rejected by Salesforce, via Census it is considered as correct - where from my perspective it should be something like a warning at least. What do you like best about Census?

Reverse ETLs are relatively new for me, I hadn’t heard of these systems till I came to loom but it’s been a game changer for data. At LinkedIn for example, we needed data eng to build custom integrations with each of our platforms.

Now, a significantly smaller team can accomplish the same, with more accuracy, in a fraction of the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Census?

The list of available census partners can be limited, and we've had a couple instances where our census syncs have failed. Fortunately, the census customer success team was very responsive and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Census?

Easy point-and-click to get started. All you need to do is know your data warehouse table and where that data should be updated in your SaaS tool. For us, all we want to do is sync some important fields in Salesforce. It could not be easier with Census! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish there was a little bit more of a low-code environment to do more customization with our syncs. For instance, I don't love that Census always needs to be pointed to a table. What do you like best about Census?

Having used Census to unify and manage our customer data, we have been impressed with the platform's capabilities and ease of use. The ability to create user segments and send them to email marketing platforms and ad networks has been a game-changer for our marketing campaigns, allowing us to create more targeted and personalized content for our audience. Additionally, sending lifetime value data to ad networks has helped us optimize our advertising campaigns and drive better ROI. All of this with ability to take data from centrally defined user dimension and fact tables in our data warehouse.

We have also appreciated the support of Census's customer success and product teams, who have been extremely helpful in resolving any issues we encountered and building new connectors quickly. Their responsiveness and willingness to work with us to find solutions has been outstanding.

Overall, we highly recommend Census to any business looking to unify their customer data and improve their marketing and customer success strategies. What do you dislike about Census?

In some cases you can feel that Census is fairly young company that still experiences bugs or are missing key components in their syncs (i.e. batching the syncs, if the API endpoint is rate limited). What do you like best about Census?

The best part about Cansus is that it provides an easy way for transfering data safely to our partners for advanced analytics. It's easy to use and meets our standards for privacy and security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't have much to say here since Census is one of those products where once it meets our needs, we can essentially forget about it. But one thing that I think can be improved is a better organisation of the connectors, e.g. folders and labels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
