What do you like best about Census?

Census offers a highly efficient, low-maintenance platform for loading business-critical data into third-party systems. Previously, we relied on custom integrations that demanded significant maintenance and ongoing management to ensure performance and efficiency. With the Census platform, this burden is completely eliminated, allowing us to concentrate on the data itself rather than the upkeep of data pipelines and complex integrations. Impressively, our first data sync took only minutes to implement, a process that would typically require hours or even days with the assistance of a data engineer. What do you dislike about Census?

What problems is Census solving and how is that benefiting you?

The primary focus of out integration is with Salesforce. We load and process a ton of data from Salefsorce and other sources into our BI/DW for processing. "Incredibly flexible tool for all your reverse ETL needs"

What do you like best about Census?

Every need I have to push data back from my DWH into various tools / locations, Census can do it for me. It allows our business to move at high speed and continue to be fully data focussed and data driven. It's UI/UX is very simple and intuitive so there's no steep learning curve like often is the case with similar tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Census?

I haven't yet come across anything I dislike. Everything I've wanted to achieve with Census, I've been able to do so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Census solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's allowing me to nimbly support all areas of the business: Product, Support, Sales and Marketing by making the data they need available in the tools they use. As a fast growing, scale-up business we're constantly evolving and so these needs are ever changing. What do you like best about Census?

Census interface makes it easy to connect two platforms, since the implementation and day to day usage were quite simple. Also, it has error detection capabilities that I haven't seen in other solutions. It also seems to have a very robust connection engines, since I seldomly experienced downtimes. That way, you don't have to necessarily keep an eye on it at all times and can be logged out of the admin platform for days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Census?

Census' principal downside is its price, since it can be quite steep for medium-to-small companies. It also lacks some on-the-fly transformations functionality, at least on the tier I was registered to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am able to push data from our warehouse into a number of downstream platforms to help support our Marketing/Support/RevOps/Sales/Engineering teams. "Works well to send data back from Snowflake to marketing platforms"

What do you like best about Census?

It was easy to implement and configure. It reads all the journal entries and data capture changes from the data warehouse and is able to send events to various marketing platforms. We used that to send marketing communications to our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Census?

I think the tool is still pretty young. The number of SaaS tools it connects to is still somewhat limited. Also the configuration options for some tools such as Mailchimp is again quite limited, it may not covered all business cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That Census is phasing out ingestions and maybe that's the reason why there is no way of knowing why an Ingestion failed.
