"Reliable monitoring tool with powerful dashboards"
What do you like best about Datadog?

Datadog provides an excellent all-in-one monitoring solution that gives complete visibility into infrastructure, applications, and logs. The customizable dashboards make it easy to track performance metrics in real time, and the alerting system ensures quick detection of issues. Its wide range of integrations with cloud services, databases, and tools makes it very flexible. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate even for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datadog?

While Datadog is very powerful, the pricing can become expensive for small or growing teams as costs increase with the number of metrics and hosts. The initial setup of dashboards and integrations can also feel overwhelming due to the wide range of features available. Additionally, some advanced queries require a learning curve. "Powerful and User friendly Observability Platform"
What do you like best about Datadog?

Datadog is very easy to use and provides a unified platform for monitoring, metrics, logs, and traces. I really like the Log Explorer, it’s powerful and flexible, especially when building complex queries to filter and analyze data. The Metric Explorer and APM features are excellent for tracking performance and identifying bottlenecks across different services. User management is straightforward, and setting up monitors is quick and reliable. Integration is also straightforward, in our case, we use it with Microsoft Teams and Azure without any issues. Their customer support has always been responsive and helpful whenever we’ve needed assistance. Overall, it’s a powerful and easy-to-use observability platform that provides deep visibility across systems and applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datadog?

Dashboards can feel limited at times, building more advanced or highly customized visualizations isn’t always straightforward.

Another drawback is the cost as Datadog can become extremely expensive if not managed carefully, especially when log volumes or monitored hosts grow quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Datadog is a powerful platform/tool for monitoring/logging/error tracking but might not be for you"
What do you like best about Datadog?

Datadog is pretty awesome, it's really powerful, we can add logs from our platforms, it tracks automatically the `console.errors` on the frontend, we can track the specific line when mappings are available, it allow us to track the CPU usage, it even can be connected to services like OpsGenie, or Slack or others, also it has support for IDEs which means we can open the error directly on our IDE, which is really awesome... but maybe the most important is that we can have a complete platform for control of our code/infra in one single place, as a FrontEnd developer, this help us also to track properly what the users see and replicate issues as closes as we can without bothering our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datadog?

It's really expensive, sometimes configuring a dashboard or specific monitors is really hard as the platform is too big, which feels overwhelming, meaning we can't properly find some parts or things like that, also for example on the error login I think it should work the opposite when creating a query using the filters, as we should start with nothing selected, and then we can start filtering, so it's not hard to find what we want... "Powerful monitoring and observability platform"
What do you like best about Datadog?

Datadog offers a comprehensive set of monitoring tools that make it easy to visualize, alert, and analyze performance metrics in real time. I particularly like how seamlessly it integrates with various cloud platforms and services. The dashboards are customizable and give great visibility into system health, which helps our team react faster to issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datadog?

Datadog can get expensive as usage scales, especially with multiple integrations and high data ingestion. The pricing model isn't always transparent, and configuring some advanced features can be a bit complex without strong technical knowledge or documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

2. It allows to track and fetch logs according to specified time-frames.

3. Log appear live, so usage is useful to tracking down logs when on the spot.

4. Bug-tracking can be presented in a convenient way to help testers and developers during bug fixes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datadog?

What I dislike about DataDog:

1. User interface contains an overwhelming amount of features that make it difficult to navigate through.

2. Categorization is often innacurate and causes problems with finding specific logs.

3. Time-frame functionalities are often buggy and unreliable.

4. It's unclear how to integrates bugs from application in development to DataDog log system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful tool!"
What do you like best about Datadog?

Datadog is a powerful observability tool that brings metrics, logs, traces, and more into a single, easy-to-use platform. What I really like is how quickly you can get visibility across your entire stack—especially in dynamic cloud and Kubernetes environments—and the dashboards are both beautiful and practical. It’s reliable and flexible Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datadog?

it can get expensive fast if you’re not careful with what you ingest or retain. Some of the advanced features take time to master, and alert tuning needs discipline to avoid noise. Still, for modern infrastructure, it’s one of the best tools out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Datadog?

I almost use Datadog every day to view the customer sessions to find out the how customer handles our application and it really help me to clarify on the what customer facing and what customer trying to convey with the usage. As a customer support member, these things help me to make queries addressed faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datadog?

Some high-level UI interactions are not captured in the session, making certain user sessions difficult to analyze or even useless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ultimate tool for Log Management"
What do you like best about Datadog?

Datadog does particularly well in Incident Detection. Datadog enables real-time monitoring of service health, with alerting configured via integrations like PagerDuty. This helps us quickly detect production issues, minimise downtime, and maintain SLA/SLO commitments.

At Indeed, we use Datadog extensively across our engineering organisation for monitoring, incident detection, observability, and SLO management. It plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our services, especially those with high user impact like the IRL Sign-In Tool and our GraphQL APIs. I use Datadog very frequently because it is easy to use and easy to integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datadog?

The Datadog UI is powerful but can be intimidating and cluttered especially when building complex queries or nested monitors. There is a learning curve for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
