What do you like best about DialMyCalls?

DialMyCalls is easy to use. I am the Administrator for my company (an electric utility), and I am also a regular User. We use DialMyCalls to inform customers of planned power outages that occur when we need to do system maintenance and improvements - which is very frequent in the summer months. What I like:

- Onboarding employees is easy. It's simple to setup a new user and explain the system.

- I really appreciate that you can make recordings from your phone, on the fly if the situation is emergent.

- The user interface is really easy to understand/operate and if there's something you can't figure out, the live chat has ALWAYS answered my questions and gotten whatever question I had answered or issue I had resolved. DialMyCalls Customer Service is just speedy, top notch and awesome (which is much appreciated in a busy work day).

- If an issue does arise, I already know it can and will be taken care of within minutes with livechat.

- My company's Customer Service team really likes it when I can share a quick screenshot of the call results before the report is ready as well.

What do you dislike about DialMyCalls?

There are two things I dislike and both have to do with importing a list. One is that when you're importing a list that has a lot of columns, even if you aren't going to use data from all the columns, you have to delete some of the columns, resave your spreadsheet and then import it. If you don't, and it has too many columns, it won't upload at all. The second is that if you have a formula being used to generate the number in a column, DialMyCalls imports the formula, not the number that you see that the formula generated. So you have go in and do a conversion in Excel, resave the spreadsheet and THEN import it. Just makes a lot of extra steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dial My Calls has been a game-changer for me—twice. I first discovered the platform 7+ years ago and was able to reach over 8,000 parents and students within days. The analytics and connection reports gave us clear visibility into who we reached and how effectively. Recently, I returned to Dial My Calls to follow up on personal business leads and was pleasantly surprised that the cost per contact per broadcast remains approximately the same as it was years ago. Adding and managing contacts & groups is intuitive. Utilizing the custom contact fields and composing SMS alerts with those in mind is extremely powerful when configured properly. Sending SMS is extremely affordable for those who do not need to send thousands and month.

Only one "Miscellaneous" field is available for each contact. This does limit what you are able to compose per-contact, so additional misc fields would be helpful.

The customer service is amazing - even during the free trial period I was able to talk to real people on the phone, and the service takes care of many of the fine details needed for setting up compliant SMS campaigns. The system also integrates very well with Zapier, which makes it doubly useful and much less manual than other approaches. The price is reasonable and (once set up) "it just works." The ramp up us a little long, but I'm not sure there's really a solution there...DialMyCalls helps, for example, register campaigns with each of the carriers (which is nearly impossible to do alone) but that takes a few days....they make it work, and having that compliance means the SMS get through. What do you like best about DialMyCalls?

It provides a great call out systems for our after-school programs, we operate at 13 different sites serving over 3000 students each year and DialMyCalls makes it easy for us to communicate with the families we serve, not only for emergencies but with general updates. The best thing is how easy it is to use, even the most tech phobic of our staff has not problems learning how to use it quickly and effectively.

We have been using the system for many years so I can't really remember the details of the set up process, but I know, as a busy administrator I didn't have to do a lot to get it off the ground and the staff from DialMyCalls were super helpful and supportive.

I believe in the many year of working with DialMyCalls we have had no more than a tiny issue or two, but as we have come to expect from them, they fixed any issues quickly.

Our organization previously relied on Voicent for our outreach needs. However, their shift to a BYOS (Bring Your Own SIP) model posed significant challenges. Setting up SIP credentials with our provider, Bell Canada, was not feasible, and even if it were, using our company's phone lines to make nearly 2,000 calls would have rendered our phone system unusable for at least a week.

Hi Chris, during your text broadcast, using the web or mobile web interface there's the ability to import a list right then and send the broadcast out to it, that should do what you need. Please give us a call at (800) 928-2086 and we can show you how to do it.

Sorry about the hassle when it comes to the phone number approval for text messaging, that's a new industry wide procedure all providers need to go through. We do allow the ability to send phone calls though right away, luckily approval is just a one time thing so you will be good to go from here on out.
