"Connect is a critical tool for the IT Professionals toolbox"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

Connect is a multifaceted tool that lets you manage your endpoints by being able to deploy packages to them regardless of where they are. Connect has saved my bacon on multiple occasions with users that have been travelling with a device and needed software, remote support or even a script run on their laptop to address a problem. You can set up Automations to do software patching, run scripts on a regular interval or even update Windows. Being able to find and mitigate endpoint vulnerabilities as well using the Vulnerability scanner is just icing on the cake! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

Being someone that's used Connect for a little while, it's has UX issues that are being worked out. One thing I'd like to see is an Export function on the error log so i can look at it locally rather than navigate the Output window. I would also like to see Queued items fall off after a defined period of time rather than them sitting in queue for long periods of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Remote Management with Excellent Support"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

What I like best about PDQ Connect is its ability to manage remote endpoints without the need for a VPN. The cloud-based setup is incredibly efficient, allowing IT teams to deploy software, run scripts, and manage updates seamlessly across distributed environments. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate and execute tasks quickly. I use it daily, and it’s become an essential part of our workflow. Integration was straightforward, and the support team has been responsive and helpful whenever needed. The built-in package library is a huge time-saver, perfect for hybrid or remote workforces. What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

While I really appreciate PDQ Connect’s remote management capabilities, there are a few things I find limiting. The lack of a proper folder structure or the ability to hide groups makes organising devices a bit messy. I’ve also noticed that device status updates can lag, which affects how quickly I can respond to issues. Compared to PDQ Deploy, Connect doesn’t offer the same level of advanced install logic, so I’ve had to rely more on custom scripting. Lastly, I wish the package library was more up-to-date—some versions lag behind, which can cause unexpected downgrades. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PDQ Connect Laptop Patching Help"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

PDQ connect bridges the gap where Microsoft Intune and other options fall short to patch/deploy to our laptops in the field. We use PDQ inventory/deploy for our VDI devices and Connect completes the puzzle for us to handle our physical devices w/out having to worry Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

There isn't too much to not like right now as I know many of the needed features are already in the pipeline as the product advances. The CMD/PS command feature if it was a little more realtime compared to other products that would really be big Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Product at a Great Price"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

PDQ has made it so easy to push out software to our users. We are a college and have many different locations all over the state of Kansas. It saves us a great amount of time to be able to push out software and updates out during off hours, instead of having to touch each users PC and interfere with their work productivity as well. "A must have tool in your locker, for MSPs and Internal IT"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

The answer to nearly all questions starting with "Can PDQ.....?" is YES!

If you can think it, you can deploy it! IT admins and MSPs alike can use this product very easily to get through a stack of sysadmin jobs, but once you get stuck into it you'll discover that the possibilities are endless, patching, security vulnerability remediation, asset management, Windows 11 upgrades are one of my current projects.

How about a package that can convert an MBR partition table into GPT, reboot, change bios options to enable secure boot, UEFI mode, kick off a pre-req scanner that makes sure a device meets the criteria for windows 11, and that its not running from battery before starting an upgrade........... no problem, without ANY user interaction required.

It's really easy to get started with, there's some groups that come out of the box that give you a helpful guide in how you can structure your environment tree. If you do get stuck though, the customer support team are very helpful and speak to you like a normal person - with honesty rather than unhelpful solutions.

My job would be genuinely more difficult without PDQ, i use it a lot! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

Cant think of any negatives. There are a load of features from the on-prem versions (Deploy & Inventory) that are being ported to Connect, but the development timeline for this is super quick and the key items have and are being prioritised. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, yet easy to use!"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

PDQ Connect has a simple and intuitive interface. It is also is able to use both command prompt and powershell languages. It can deploy small or very large installation files whether the devices are on the network or just connected to the internet. The remote desktop is a great feature to help admins troubleshoot issues with an end user. Also, the customer support has been very helpful during my time using different features of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

While the user interface is easy to use, there are some inconsistencies from one part of the software to the others. Sometimes, something simple like a "delete" button shows up in different places on the Devices, Packages, Automations, Reports, Scanners, Custom Fields, and Variables tab. Also, there is no way to customize the size, arrangement, or sorting of your columns. And while the software is powerful, it does have some issues with deployments, connectivity with devices, customer support response times, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Really easy to use"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

Most important, machine just needs to be on the internet. No need to be on corporate network.

Creating and pushing packages is super easy and we have yet to run into a product that we cannot package inside of PDQ.

The newly release remote desktop is going to help us replace another product that we have and save us some money.

Mac OS integration being added and the ability to run commands from PDQ direct to the Mac. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

Lack of logs, but that is being worked on. Specifically logs of package changes and by what user, if remote desktop is used through PDQ something that logs what user connected to what device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"If you are a MSP, this is for you."
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

Even though PDDQ Connect is relatively new, it became a great tool for all the MSPs who need to keep the devices in their care up to date.

PDQ Connect is easy to work with. You only need to watch a few tutorial videos provided by PDQ and you are good to go.

You can create custom groups and automations using the provided and maintained package library including variables that you can use for filtering. You can create custom variables and additional data fields for your devices, to cover additional data.

If you have problems creating a deployment package, you can either contact the awesome support team or the great sysadmin community on the official PDQ Discord.

A API interface that you can use for the the integration with you existing infrastructure is also provided.

The biggest most recent addition is the Vulnerability scanner. I am certain that it will help you to keep up the all the security threads around us.

The great thing about PDQ is that they listen to their customers. It does not happen often that you can directly talk to the support team and the developers. Discord is a great place for that.

Connect will become the daily go to place for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

What I don't like? There is not much. The gained benefits in saved time, overweight the occasional infrastructure hickups when new features are put into production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An absolute game-changer for our organization"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

PDQ Connect has become an indispensable tool in my daily IT management. I loved PDQ Deploy and Inventory but with the rise of mobile devices we needed something to reach those devices without having an always on VPN. Deploying software and patches is incredibly quick and easy, thanks to the intuitive interface and the constantly updated package library. The team behind the product continues to make it a no brainer to renew ever year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

The product is relatively new so it is missing some of those mature features that Deploy and Inventory has (like powershell scanners). Highly recommend taking a look a the roadmap to see what is in store for the future. I would also love to see a more robust API to make automation even easier. "IT Enterprise Lifesaver"
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

It gives me the ability to reach out and touch our employee computers no matter where they are. I can install software, run scripts, audit installed software, uninstall software, check machine status, and so much more that I haven't even tried yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

For me, it has been when I can't connect to equipment due to some connection glitch. Doesn't happen often, but it usually happens at the least appropriate time. Murphy's Law and all, I guess. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
