What I appreciate most is the ease of use—whether we are importing, exporting, or editing products with variants and hierarchies, there is always a straightforward way to accomplish tasks, and the necessary information is available right where we need it. The documentation is thorough, and the support team is excellent and responsive whenever I have questions. We rely on Plytix as our single source of truth for product information on a daily basis (excluding prices and sales), and it is integrated via API with our ERP and webshop. I am not a fan of the formula Editor. Personally, I would have preferred a lightweight Python integration. However, with the recent addition of AI integration, making adjustments has become much more straightforward. What drew us to Plytix as our PIM was its high level of customization. We had the flexibility to build an organizational structure that mirrored our team’s existing workflow while improving our content behind the scenes. The best aspects of Plytix are its powerful and efficient data handling features that make managing a large product catalog easy. Specifically, the key features are:

I've used a fair number of PIMs throughout my career including Akeneo, Stibo, Pimberley and others. As an SME, we are obviously constrained by budgets, and this is where Plytix has the market cornered. You get 90-95% of the functionality for a fraction of the cost. Would we go with one of the bigger boys if we could afford it? Probably, but we don't, and we still need to manage our product information.

I'd argue Akeneo has a cleaner, more user-friendly interface and their DAM is significantly better than Plytix; you'd expect that for the huge outlay. If you want ease of use, implementation and integration, then Plytix is the one for you, particulalrly as a small company. Their customer support is second to none, in fact from the sales pitch to the implentation, to the testing and the day to day management, all the team members I have dealt with have been absolutely superb - second to none.

Their employees take time to listen to your struggles and actually act upon them. The great thing is they fully understand the limitation of their own system/APIs so are always looking for effective workarounds or fixes unlike other software companies. They are thorough and professional and genuinely give you that feeling that they want you to succeed.

The system itself is easy to use once you get used to it. It has it's foibles like any software but as long as you let the guys there know, they will look to fix it or add it to their future roll-outs of which they are fairly regular. Again, another positive is they take on your feedback and are always looking at ways to improve how they work or what features need improving or introducing. Nothing they don't already know. The DAM could be better and give you more control of how you can place assets on a Shopify page. That is no doubt linked with the current API which they are looking to continually improve.

A reporting suite would be most welcome in the system too. Yes we can export to Excel but would be nice to have an overview of the health and completion levels of our data within the system itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Plytix has been an excellent solution for our business. Implementing their PIM has had a major impact—streamlining connectivity, simplifying processes, and providing powerful features like catalog building. - Speed to set up and configure: we had our prototype up and running in a few days

- Power - everything we needed we could do, from capturing rich and complex data inputs to easy API access

- Simplicity - the interface is clean and we got 100+ users working in the system with no training

We haven't met any major limitations yet. Minor things that would be helpful include:

- row-level access control (today the access control is by attribute, not by offering in the catalog).

- web application firewall, giving us our own Plytix domain that's accessible only from our network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I enjoy the bulk edit and import qualities of Plytix as it's well suited to eCommerce and easy to integrate with Shopify. It is a very easy platform to use in order to manage products and push them live to Shopify, with minimal training on the PIM.

Additionally, our account manager Eva Rodriguez has been very wonderful and helpful. She has helped us solve problems that have enhanced our processes on the platform and implementation of new features using Plytix. Eva has also recommended great features we can use to boost the functionality of our store using upsell, cross-sell functions through the PIM and formulas for automated publishing of products. At times when I do a bulk import which has a warning, I find that it might give me x1 warning / error in the import report, rather than all the issues at once so I can fix the file in the first go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy integration with Shopify.

We can now upload an image once and distribute it to all our stores. Previously, we had to upload the same image to each individual store—and sometimes even multiple times within the same store if it was, for example, a lifestyle image used across different variants.

Brand Portals help us maintain a shared internal foundation and enable our agents and customers to find the information they need on their own, instead of waiting for a reply from us.

We’d love more flexibility to design and structure the Brand Portal—right now, all products are shown at once, and it would be great to create visual categories rather than relying only on the left-hand navigation.

Karina provided top class support during the onboarding process. It did take slightly longer than we anticipated but Karina went out of her way to help the team get to grips with the platform to try and get us up and running as quickly as possible and her knowledge is excellent. It's still early days and there is much more we can do to optimise our workflows within Plytix but so far it feels like an essential tool for managing product data and gives us complete control over what we send through to Shopify. I always find that I'm wanting to view my lists within the "Product" section to then be able to filter just on this specific set of products. It would be great if that was available to use as a view Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
