"Streamlining Team Communication with Slack"
What do you like best about Slack?

Channels keep conversations organized by topic, team, or project, which helps reduce context-switching and email clutter. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with tools we already use like Salesforce, Google Drive, and Zoom — making it a true productivity hub. The ability to quickly share updates, collaborate in threads, and search past conversations makes team coordination so much faster and more transparent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Teamwork with Slack, but Missing Read Receipts"
What do you like best about Slack?

I love how effortlessly it brings team communication and collaboration together in one place. The clean, intuitive interface makes it easy to organize conversations through channels, and the realtime messaging keeps everyone aligned without endless email threads. I especially appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with tools like Google Drive, and other apps. The search function is also excellent, helping me quickly find past messages or files. Overall, Slack makes teamwork faster, more transparent, and much more enjoyable. We use it frequently and it almost completed all of out requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

One thing I dislike is the lack of read receipts. It can sometimes be hard to know whether a message has been seen, especially in one-on-one chats or important discussions. Having a simple “read” indicator would make communication even smoother and help reduce follow-ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slack is user friendly and can integrate with other tools like hibob, confluence and other third party tools and thus you get notifications faster and easier. It's UI /UX is much better than MS Teams Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The only downside is that it is not par with teams when it comes to scheduling calls with the clients. I hope they can work on it sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best tool for daily team chat and project updates"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack make team communication very simple and fast. I like that I can talk to my team instantly, share files, and integrate with tools like Google Drive and Jira easily. Channels help keep different projects separate, so no confusion. I can also search old messages quickly, which save lot of time. The notifications and thread system make conversation very clean and organized. Also, mobile app work smooth, so I never miss any update even when outside office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Sometimes it take too much memory and make computer slow when many channels open. Also, message history limit for free plan is very small, which make it hard to see old discussion. The notifications can feel too much if you join many channels. Would be nice if there was better way to group or mute channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The gold standard for instant communication"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is my preferred platform for instant communication with others. Whenever I need to quickly send or receive important information, I turn to Slack. In my experience, other tools lag far behind; they often involve unnecessary obstacles just to access, use, or share information. Slack consistently provides me with global awareness and enables the rapid distribution of critical updates. Whenever clients require me to use alternative tools, I find the process cumbersome, slow, and lacking in both features and functionality. To me, every other option feels like a mere imitation, trying to compete with the market leader, Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The main issue I have is that some people misuse this app and expect me to be available at all hours, as if I never sleep. Even when I update my status to indicate that I am not available, they tend to ignore it. I would really appreciate a Do Not Disturb feature that marks messages as undeliverable until I am active again. I already use my phone's DND mode for this reason, but having it built into the app would be much more effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best way to communicate with team members and clients"
What do you like best about Slack?

The things I like in slack are as follows :-

1. It makes the communication smooth in team as it provide facility to create private channels with the required members so no other person can see the private talks.

2. I can easily share resources like files, pdf etc with my team/clients.

3. Even slack offers the mobile application that helps me a lot to stay connected with my team even when I am not using my laptop.

4. I can even tag the particular person in the channel and that person gets the notification for a quick glance.

5. You can even set your own status like you are in a meeting, sick or doing work from home to help your team members knows your availability.

6. It is very easy tool to use as you just need to install the slack on your pc and sign in with your account to get started.

7. I use it almost daily to sync up with my team.

8. The customer support is great in slack as it is one of the most preferred platform for professionals and the tool is already mature enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

The thinks which I do not like in slack are as follows :-

1. The slackbot is not very helpful as it only gives the information if somebody adds me in the channel but it doesn't reply properly to my ask.

2. 90 days of message history is available in free plan so I feel that it should be extended for free plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slack Review as part of marketing"
What do you like best about Slack?

I’ve been using Slack consistently, and I’ve come to see that it’s much more than a simple messaging app. It has truly transformed how teams communicate, particularly in fast-paced or remote work settings. Rather than dealing with endless email chains or switching between different applications, Slack provides a centralized space where communication, collaboration, and even informal team interactions can all take place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Too Many Notifications: Without actively managing your settings, Slack can quickly become overwhelming. Participating in several busy channels often leads to constant notifications that disrupt your focus.

Information Overload: Although channels help keep things organized, the sheer number of messages can easily hide important updates. Missing just a day or two can make catching up feel like a daunting task.

Learning Curve for Admins: While Slack is user-friendly for most, those responsible for setting up workspaces, managing integrations, or assigning permissions may find there’s a noticeable learning curve.

Dependence on Slack: Teams sometimes become so reliant on Slack that any outage has a direct impact on productivity, underscoring how essential it becomes to daily operations.

Pricing for Larger Teams: The free version works well for small teams, but larger organizations often require the paid plan for additional storage and advanced features, which can become costly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great team collaboration and communication tool."
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is very easy it is to use. The interface feels friendly. Implementation was smooth too. It synced well with existing tools like jira, gitHub, and google calendar, which made it feel like a natural extension of our workflow. I use it often for messaging, updates, quick standups, and even casual team banter. The number of features like threads, reactions, huddles, reminders, integrations and much more help keep things organized. It integrates well other platforms as well. I have set up notifications from our CI/CD pipeline and it saved me from missing important build failures or deployment alerts. Overall, Slack has made team communication feel easy and simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I think the search feature can be improved as sometimes it feels cluttered, especially when you are trying to find something from weeks ago buried under a long thread. Also it lags sometimes with minimal connection, so it requires a good speed internet and the interface for calls and meetings also has a scope of improvement. "Cool tool for communication"
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack offers an outstanding user interface right from the start. Additionally, it is extremely convenient to access, whether through the app or a web browser, allowing use anytime and anywhere. Setting up Slack was also quite straightforward. At first, we were given a generic admin site for Slack, but when we requested a site with our company name, the support team responded quickly and handled the change efficiently. They managed the transition without disrupting existing access or causing any inconvenience to end users. This positive experience increased my trust in Slack and their team, as they handled everything very well. Slack also provides a wide range of integrations, which greatly simplify daily tasks, especially since it serves as our primary communication tool. We rely on it every day, as it is the sole means of communication throughout our organisation. It is pocket-friendly and offers decent features in its basic plans as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I am a fan of Slack. I have worked on Teams and Webex, but found Slack better than them all. So I don't specifically have any negatives for them. But yes, if they can make their integration process a little easier, it will be amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
