"As the owner of an MSP, having ThreatLocker as a trusted partner is invaluable!"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

ThreatLocker has been one of the best security solutions I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with. What makes it stand out is the balance between powerful, enterprise-grade protection and practical usability for IT teams and end users.

One of the features I like most is Application Whitelisting. It puts full control back into the hands of administrators by allowing only approved applications to run. This proactive approach drastically reduces the risk of ransomware, malware, and unauthorized software slipping through the cracks.

Another standout is Ringfencing, which is incredibly effective in minimizing lateral movement and limiting how applications interact with each other and with sensitive data. Even if something malicious does get on a machine, the damage it can cause is severely restricted.

I also really appreciate the Storage Control feature. Having the ability to lock down USB devices and external drives is essential in today’s security environment. ThreatLocker makes it easy to set granular policies without inconveniencing end users.

The ease of policy management and visibility through the dashboard is excellent. The interface is intuitive, the audit logs are clear, and the ThreatLocker team provides top-notch support whenever needed. Their support staff is knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping customers succeed.

The thing I like the most about ThreatLocker is that they truly care about their customers and partners. You are not just a number to them, and you always have someone that you can reach out to when you need something. Compared to some of the other vendors out there, that is invaluable to me!

Overall, ThreatLocker gives me confidence that endpoints are secured at a much deeper level than traditional antivirus or endpoint detection tools can provide. It’s a solution that not only strengthens the security posture but also empowers IT administrators with control and clarity in ways that were previously possible but certainly not practical. I highly recommend ThreatLocker to any organization seeking robust, modern zero-trust endpoint security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

ThreatLocker is an excellent security platform, but like any solution, there are always areas where enhancements could make it even stronger.

The ThreatLocker dev team is constantly working to improve the product, and they are rolling out new features regularly. While this is definitely a good thing, it can also make the implementation and ongoing training a little more challenging because things are always changing. However, the Cyber Hero support team is always there to assist in any way you need.

Any negative issues that you may run into are always addressed right away, so that gives me the comfort of knowing that even if there is an issue, I feel confident that we will be able to get it resolved promptly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Love ThreatLocker!"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

Application control and allowlisting approach provide a level of protection that goes far beyond traditional antivirus, ensuring that only trusted and approved applications are able to run within the environment. This not only minimizes the risk of ransomware and other malicious software but also gives me confidence in maintaining a secure posture across all endpoints.

The platform is intuitive yet powerful. The centralized management console makes it easy to deploy policies across multiple organizations, saving time and reducing complexity. Features like Ringfencing and Network Control add additional layers of defense, helping to prevent lateral movement and unauthorized access. I especially appreciate the level of visibility ThreatLocker provides into what applications are being used, which helps in both compliance and operational efficiency.

Another standout factor is the responsiveness of the ThreatLocker support team. Whenever I’ve had questions, they’ve been quick to provide guidance and ensure I’m making the most of the platform. Their ongoing updates and the “100 Days to Secure” program demonstrate a real commitment to customer success and continuous improvement.

Overall, ThreatLocker has proven itself to be an essential tool in protecting our environment. It combines ease of use, granular control, and strong security outcomes in a way that few solutions can match. I would highly recommend it to any organization looking to strengthen its cybersecurity posture with a practical, effective, and proactive solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

The only issues I have had are a few minor glitches in the mobile admin app, but other than that, it has worked perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sleep at night knowing Threats cannot run on the computers"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

We have been working with ThreatLocker since 2020, and it has been nothing but a positive experience. From the start, their Sales team (Antonietta and ) made the process easy, really listening to what we needed instead of just pitching features. The Engineering team (Freddy) was just as impressive—patient, knowledgeable, and willing to dive into the details to make sure everything was set up the right way for our environment.

What really stands out to me, though, is their Support staff. Whenever we’ve had a question or needed help, we've jumped on a Zoom call, and they've always gone the extra mile to ensure the issue is resolved.

From Application Whitelisting, Ringfencing, Storage Control polices, Network Control Policies, and Configuration Controls. You can really lock down your environment without breaking it.

Having ThreatLocker in place gives us the confidence that our systems are locked down and properly defended.

I couldn’t recommend them more highly if you’re serious about endpoint protection and want a team that really stands behind their product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

I can't think of any dislikes, of course, we all want products to be less expensive, but it is already a great price point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With ease it is possible to secure endpoints to keep attackers outside. With the great help of people behind threatlocker it is easy to implement at your or customer environment.

The support is the quickest I have seen so far in my entire carrier, within minutes you are talking with a tech. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

Thing I don't like has nothing todo with Threatlocker directly but when for example solutions automatically update programs or drivers things can stop suddenly because it is unknown to threatlocker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Security Platform with Great Support"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

ThreatLocker provides us top-tier endpoint protection and control without overcomplicating the experience. I love how intuitive the interface is; everything feels streamlined and transparent. The granular application control gives our team visibility and confidence that our and our clients, systems are secure. What really stands out is their support team. Whenever I need help or have any questions, I call or chat with ThreatLocker Support and they respond quickly and professionally. We've deployed ThreatLocker across all our systems and never had any issues isntalling or configuring it in any client environment. It's dependable and easy to manage. "The silver-bullet to stopping threats at the endpoint, where it matters most."
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

Love the fact that they maintain a small-company approach with the owner being front and center, along with an amazing support team that doesn't run and hide from you but pushes to help you at any time of the day or night -- which is unheard of in this business. This is a rock-solid product that is worth the effort to learn and implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

Sometimes it feels the company tries to add too many things and be more than it should be, however, this doesn't get in the way of the core product and add-ons are offered as a "take it or leave it" approach (so you're not forced into anything you don't want/need). I guess I'd rather see them trying to do more than to do less, so this isn't really a bad thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pretty good solution overall being used as zero trust"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

does a really good job at blocking applications from installing applications that have not been whitelisted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

it can be really difficult to configure an application to be allowed and we have had to engage their support alot to get them to work right Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ThreatLocker is a powerful security solution that gives administrators full control"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

ThreatLocker is a powerful security solution that gives administrators full control over what users can install, run, or script. Its default-deny approach ensures that only explicitly approved actions are allowed, making it easy to sleep at night knowing that even if users click on dangerous files, they won’t execute in secure mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

ThreatLocker has a steep learning curve, generates frequent alerts that can overwhelm teams, and offers limited support for mobile platforms. While it provides strong security controls, it may be challenging for smaller organizations or those without dedicated IT staff to manage effectively Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Threatlocker makes application whitelisting easy-ish"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

Application whitelisting is very time consuming. And while it still takes time to do it properly with Threatlock, the time and knowledge investment is much much less than is required with other products. I would never say that application whitelisting is easy - but Threatlocker makes it much easier than it would be otherwise - therefore, "easy-ish".

Implementing it and scheduling time with an engineer to review before putting it in secure mode has been hugely helpful.

Threatlocker is a great product with a great team behind it. Danny, ya'll have built a great product and our team (and our clients) appreciate it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

Onboarding new employees. Even though the learning curve is much reduced, there is still plenty to know before throwing an employee into the deep end. Threatlocker engineers are happy to schedule time, but it does have to be a checkbox for the employee onboarding so it gets done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ThreatLocker keeps computer secure"
What do you like best about ThreatLocker?

* ThreatLocker treats each app as a system and can isolate them - for example Edge acts like malware when it reads Chrome's data. TL can stop that. TL can flat out stop all executing software from accessing a QuickBooks data file except QuickBooks.

* ThreatLocker allows businesses to ensure that computers just can't run programs they're not allowed to run whether that software be a game, a portable exe, or never before seen malware. Not on the allow list means does not run.

* ThreatLocker Network control allows an me to block all incoming access to a server UNLESS the client is running our ThreatLocker.

* ThreatLocker blocks Winword.exe from running PowerShell, blocks Chrome extensions from executing CMD and blocks PowerShell from reaching out to the Internet.

* With the full support of the Cyber Heros, at any time of day or night my users can be denied permission to run an application, press a button to request that they be granted access and have that request granted! For the record, the Cyber Heros will approve a legitimate installer from Epson for a printer but will deny game installers and malware. ThreatLocker is making security EASIER for me and the users who are secured.

* ThreatLocker is powerful and covers so many holes in Windows security. Onboarding is made easy through weekly meetings with a dedicated SE who will guide you through implementing one module at a time. We're eight months in and still meet semi-weekly to work on new modules.

* Initial integration is painless for the admins and users. Install the client on all your end points and let it observe and report in. Allow rules are made on a computer-by-computer basis to ensure that when you take the computer out of monitor mode it won't cause trouble for the user. Policies created on a single machine can easily be promoted to apply to an entire group of computers. This learning mode is designed to be transparent for the end users but does require a good amount of attention from the administrator who has 100% control of the process - it is not magic.

* I could go on and on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThreatLocker?

I have found no downsides to using ThreatLocker but can say that their system is comprand complicated, I am very happy that we have the Cyber Heros available to help when necessary through the Cyber Hero MDR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
