While the platform is overall very user-friendly, there are occasional delays when accessing or uploading larger files. The only "negative" feedback I receive from my clients is the extra step they must take in order to view an attachment sent through Virtru but I remind they it is all for security purpose. What I like best about Virtru Secure Share is how seamlessly it integrates with Google Workspace while maintaining a clean, user-friendly interface. There’s no complicated setup or learning curve — the “Turn On” secure email button makes it easy to enable encryption right from the compose window. Secure email threads are clearly structured and easy to follow, and uploading attachments is quick and intuitive. I've had a few external recipients mention that they were confused the first time they tried to open a secure message. Making that initial access process a little clearer or more intuitive would really help improve the experience.

One thing I’d really like to see is a better dashboard or summary view — something that shows which messages have been read, which ones still need a reply, and overall where things stand. It would also be helpful to have a “Drafts” folder or holding space for messages I’ve started but haven’t finished, or ones I still need to respond to. Right now, if I get logged out after clicking a secure link, I have to go back and search for the original email just to re-access the thread. We have Virtru integrated into our email, which has been really easy to use and helps us to send files securely on a regular basis. We had an issue sending large files due to our email provider's limit, however, we came across Virtru Secure Share. This was a great find, as it allowed us to send large files easily and securely. It was really easy to use and lets us know when the message has been opened. We can also add watermarking, set an expiration date and add persistent protection. These features have been very useful and have helped us to manage our information better. It also allows for messages with large files to be sent to us securely, so it helps in that aspect as well. One think we noticed was that if you used Persistent File Protection, your files would be converted to HTML. This did cause some issues for us and we no longer use this option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the added functionality it provides compared to other file sharing solutions I have used. Specifically the water marking, ability to add multiple emails that can access a file, and the persistent file protection. I also really like that I am sent a notification when a customer accesses the files. I have learned that customers utilizing a shared email, like an accounts payable company email or a product team email, are unable to use Virtru because they cannot go through the steps to verify the email. For the particular use case, the Virtru Secure Share is convenient for those users who are accustomed to a separate interface to load and secure content. With the Virtru secure share, users are able to load larger files up to 15 GB of data. What is very nifty is the ability to do company branding and logos, and audit and add security controls. The Virtru Secure Share is fairly simple to use, and the interface is self-explanatory. It is rare that users have to send a file larger than 15 GB. With that said, maybe an expansion is the size of the files sent. I have not seen a receipt of record forwarded to the user's email to indicate when a file has been opened. However, that audit is available in the admin console. While there may be areas for improvement, in its existing state, it is very, very user-friendly and easy to use. I have found that it is much easier to use than other secure file sharing options that I have tried in the past. I like that I can copy a link and email it to my clients, and I have heard from the client side that it is easy to use. I really like that I get a notification email when a client shares documents with me through Secure Share.

I have also included my Secure Share link in my email signature, which saves time when a client wants to send me secure information. I also appreciate the history of shared items in Virtru Secure Share, where I can see what has been shared in the past.

I wish I could drop down to send from a different email that's been added to my gmail, rather than needing to login with that account.

For individual projects, I like being able to reuse the same secure link to share and upload files. It was nice to be able to just accept the invite from the person requesting files and upload them right away without having to fuss around. When the file size is big (say > 200 MB), it seems I cannot drag and drop the file to Gmail but has to use Virtru's own system to share the file.
