What do you like best about When I Work?

Scheduling and time clocks are easy, running reports on the payroll has a great breakdown and is easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about When I Work?

We have had the hardest time getting it to work nicely with Gusto. We have accounts for multiple locations and we have employees that need to have access to each location so they are added as admins. Because they are not on the payroll we can't get gusto to accept the reports from WIW and transfer everything over cohesively. Because of this HR has to rekey all the hours worked for each employee and it's so tedious. We also wish that they had more adaptability based on the state you're operating in. For example we have employees in CA and there are so many extra rules in CA that aren't easy to accommodate in WIW. The system doesn't flag split shifts, missed meal break premiums (it sort of does this one) or partial shift premiums. This adds a lot more manual work for our HR team. What do you like best about When I Work?

Easy to schedule employees for different shift/position assignments daily and easy to see where each person is assigned on a daily basis. Overall, it's very user friendly when making the schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about When I Work?

It would make scheduling easier if we could copy and paste people's shifts rather than using the shift repeat option. Our schedule is on a rotating basis so employees don't have set days they work. Also, it would be helpful for employees to see their colleagues position, similar to how the admins can see it on their desktop. This can be done if the employee goes through and selects each position, but can't be seen at the same time. Last thing is the open shifts - some employees cannot see the open shifts or see different ones. I wish there was a way that everyone can see open shifts and people get reminded weekly of open shift availability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about When I Work?

When I Work has made every access of our scheduling process easier - building the schedule, communicating it, dropping/picking up/covering shifts - all of it! It was so easy for us to implement with our team and the customer support that we received when we were onboarding was fantastic! What do you like best about When I Work?

I love that the staff can access their schedules on their phones or PCs. I also love that all of your support staff speaks with clear English and are easy to understand. The chat feature is great also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about When I Work?

The set up is very time consuming. We set it up using tags to indicate which position each team member would be working in that day and as it turns out, the team cannot view the tags, so we have to rethink and redo the entire set up. We could use the shift notes but then you have to type in each one because there is not a way to set them up as a drop-down option of choices. Also, there should be a way that you can turn off all of the staff notifications until set up and the schedule is in so that they are not pestered with multi notifications until admin is ready to launch the new program. Lastly it would be great if the "Time off" block could have the option of indicating "why" they are off so instead it would say, Sick, Vacation, Rotational Day Off, Personal Day etc. Lastly, you should have the option to include salaried users for scheduling purposes with the option of opting out of including them in the forecast tool that computes their hours and or their wages when they are not included in your para labor tracking.

Truthfully, we may not be able to continue to use this program if the above-mentioned things are not implemented soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about When I Work?

It is incredibly simple to use and addresses many of the challenges with the dynamics of employee scheduling experienced by employers and employees alike. These of implementation was flawless. I used the free trial and was instantly in love with out fast and simple it was to get up and running within hours. The customer service and support we received from Jackson Purdy was exemplary. He was so friendly and easy to work with and understood the needs of our business, as well as our unique constraints and provided fast and gracious solutions. What do you dislike about When I Work?

I wish there was Canadian pricing models for businesses located in Canada suffering from current economic conditions generated by political challenges. That being said, Jackson acknowledged this and made an incredible effort to support and navigate this with us. The number one thing I dislike about this software was that as soon as I saw and used it - nothing else could possibly compare or meet my expectations. It is a slam dunk. What do you like best about When I Work?

I like that When I work, once you learnt he system is user friendly. The copy forward for shifts and repeat feature has made scheduling very easy. Also the attendance tracking is a good feature to help double check any system that may already be in place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about When I Work?

The implementation process. I think it is beneficial to have a contact person that follows up and walks you through until your first payroll period. I did have to for the most part work through and figure things out on my own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about When I Work?

I have been very happy with the When I Work app! It is very user friendly and easy to use on our companies side as well as the contractors for adding shifts. What do you like best about When I Work?

It's very user friendly - takes away hours of scheduling and simplifies it with just dragging shifts to the appropriate employee and VOILA! Done in a matter of minutes. What do you like best about When I Work?

I love how quick and simple it is to schedule and manage my team! I have used this app at many different work places and it was one of the first things I changed when I started at this location!

What do you dislike about When I Work?

There are'nt many, but I wish there was a little more space for employee HR data points, and I really wish I could run payroll direct without integration with another application.

I don't love that my name shows up as a user because I am salaried so dont need a schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
