What makes an app worth buying? In the latest Sub Club episode, BlueThrone’s Josh Peleg joins David Barnard to unpack what separates good apps from great acquisition targets — and why predictable revenue, real traction, and smart distribution are the metrics buyers value most. Top takeaways: 🔹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 — recurring revenue and low churn always command higher multiples. 🔹 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 — lifetime deals and revenue “pumps” kill trust in due diligence. 🔹 𝗙𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘀 — category leaders outperform big portfolios of shallow apps. 🔹 𝗛𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — one-time purchases and rewarded ads can unlock new LTV without adding friction. 🔹 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 — in a post-AI world, distribution beats code. 🎧 Listen: https://lnkd.in/eWmmHwtE (Or search for "Sub Club" wherever you get your podcasts)
