- 반복 단위가 실질적으로 에틸렌이며, 섬유 상태에서의 중량 평균 분자량(Mw)이 50,000 내지 300,000, 중량 평균 분자량과 수 평균 분자량(Mn)의 비(Mw/Mn)가 4.0 이하인 폴리에틸렌으로 이루어지고, 섬유 중의 겔분율이 100ppm 내지 10,000ppm인 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리에틸렌 섬유.
- 반복 단위가 실질적으로 에틸렌이며, 섬유 상태에서의 중량 평균 분자량(Mw)이 50,000 내지 300,000, 중량 평균 분자량과 수 평균 분자량(Mn)의 비(Mw/Mn)가 4.0 이하인 폴리에틸렌으로 이루어지고, 190℃에서의 용융 상태에서의 제로 전단 점도가 8,000 내지 300,000(Pa·s)인 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리에틸렌 섬유.

- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 얀 길이 방향의 섬도 불균일 U%가 30% 미만인 폴리에틸렌 섬유.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 측정 온도 300K에서의 섬유축 방향의 열전도율이 6 내지 50W/mK인 폴리에틸렌 섬유.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 측정 온도 100K부터 300K까지의 섬유축 방향의 열전도율의 변화율이 6W/mK·K 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 폴리에틸렌 섬유.
- 탄성 섬유에 제1항 또는 제2항에 기재된 폴리에틸렌 섬유로 커버링한 것을 특징으로 하는 피복 탄성사.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 기재된 폴리에틸렌 섬유, 또는 상기 폴리에틸렌 섬유로 탄성 섬유를 커버링한 피복 탄성사, 또는 상기 폴리에틸렌 섬유와 상기 피복 탄성사 모두를 적어도 일부에 사용하고, 구프 테스터(Coup tester)의 인덱스값이 6 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 방호용 직편물.
- 제8항에 기재된 방호용 직편물로 이루어지는 내절창성 장갑.
