What i'd suggest is maybe install sox onto your system and then use soxmix to merge the 2 files together. I'm sure one can easily incorporate sox into oreka. Let me know if you need help with this. Thanks Doug On Sat, Mar 29, 2008 at 5:38 AM, <jon...@fu...> wrote: > If I use a network tap as described in snort, then I will have to use two > Nic cards and have Oreka listen to both to record a conversation. > > > > But now that means I will get two files with only one side of the > conversation in each. > > > > How can I merge the two files to listen to one conversation? > > > > I have a gigabit network and cannot seem to find an inexpensive span > ported gigabit switch, nor can I find a gigabit hub. > > > > Does anyone know where I can get one for low cost? > > > > Thanks, > > > > Jonathan > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. > It's the best place to buy or sell services for > just about anything Open Source. > > http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;164216239;13503038;w?http://sf.net/marketplace > _______________________________________________ > Oreka-user mailing list > Ore...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/oreka-user > > |

If I use a network tap as described in snort, then I will have to use two Nic cards and have Oreka listen to both to record a conversation. But now that means I will get two files with only one side of the conversation in each. How can I merge the two files to listen to one conversation? I have a gigabit network and cannot seem to find an inexpensive span ported gigabit switch, nor can I find a gigabit hub. Does anyone know where I can get one for low cost? Thanks, Jonathan |

Mike, Let me have a look at this. Henri _____ From: ore...@li... [mailto:ore...@li...] On Behalf Of Mike Jett Sent: 27 mars 2008 21:15 To: Ore...@li... Subject: [Oreka-user] No reporting... Greetings, When I have audio segmentation turned on neither the tapelist.log nor the GET that is passed to the web service have any data for the variables localParty, remoteParty, localIp, remoteIp, or localEntryPoint. Is there something that can be done about this? -Mike Jett |

Roy, As mentioned earlier in this mailing list, the SoundDevice plugin has not be widely used and tested to date. It is known to work on a few setups but needs more work. I will look into this when time permits. Thanks for the problem report. Henri -----Original Message----- From: ore...@li... Mike, This is probably related to a problem we are looking into right now. If you can send me a pcap trace of a single call (zipped, directly to me) I can confirm that. Henri -----Original Message----- From: ore...@li... [mailto:ore...@li...] On Behalf Of Mike Jett Sent: 19 mars 2008 12:56 To: ore...@li... Subject: [Oreka-user] Choppy audio in one direction Hello, I've set up Oreka on a system with plenty of balls. Quad 3 Ghz Xeons. 4 GB ram. I'm trying to record around 30 calls simultaneously. The problem that I am having is this: The stream from asterisk to the SIP client always records fine, but the recording from the SIP client to asterisk will start fine, then become choppy, then just drop out altogether. It has been confirmed that the span port is functioning properly, and that all of the desired traffic is making it to the NIC. It is the same on every recording...starts ok, then choppy, then gone altogether. I have already tried changing the codec that it stores the file in from gsm to ulaw and back with no results. Any ideas? -Mike J ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
