Thank you very much for the hint. This got adressed today and downloads should be working again soon. It may take a few days for the local MeGUI clients to notice the change.
MeGUI 2944 Development Update Server _ Aug 9th, 2023 - x295 ISSUE
Thank you very much for letting me know. The issue is that the wrong file is downloaded (the one for MeGUI x64 which does not include the x86 folder). I do not have currently access to the update servers and can therefore not change it.
Updated Tools
Thank you very much! Except of the usual tools which I cannot update (FFMpeg, AVS, Mediainfo) the remaining ones should be now on the update server. I will close here the thread to make it easier for me to detect new changes/posts.
settings.xml security error
Thank you very much for the report. MeGUI does not modify any file permissions. MeGUI is also a portable application and as of such everything is stored in the MeGUI folder. You can try to move the folder around or to delete the settings.xml. As an alternative you could download it again and extract to a new folder to see if the issue exists there also for you.
MeGUI 2933 BUG (s) ?
Thanks for the feedback :)
During my tests MeGUI did crash due to a memory issue in L-SMASH when using a input file with UTF characters in it. I reverted the file back to an older version which does not has that issue.
2944 has been released as stable
Thanks. However that release is broken and also the currenly used one is broken when the input file has UTF characters. I will revert for the moment to the one from 2022.

The programme closes
Thank you very much for the report. MeGUI will never close itself silently so it must be caused by an external component. As the last entry is about indexing with L-SMASH could you maybe try it with the FFMS indexer just to see if the issue is in that direction? When in the OnClick window: OnClick profile: config, the on the "Other" tab move the FFMS line to the top of the list (likely LSMASH is there now for you). Save everything and run it again. Does it still fail?
MeGUI 2933 BUG (s) ?
Thank you very much for the report. This should already be fixed in 2937: 2937 [Video Encoder] fixed not applying the proper bitrate for desired file sizes. Bug #974 (regression of 2930) Either wait that this will be released as stable (may be in the next days) or switch to using the development builds for now (Options\Extended\Auto Update\Use Development Update server)
[L-SMASH Indexer] fixed if a non-default lwi file is used, it was created twice and not always deleted. Bug #978 (regression of 2915)
Does not delete lwi file
Should be fixed in 2944
Does not delete lwi file
Thanks for the report. I can confirm this as I noticed this also today on my side. Investigation is ongoing.
[HD Streams Extractor] high DPI adjustments
Additional Audio and Subtilte Track registers are not showing/working in One-Click encoder and Muxer.
Thank you very much for the report. It should be fixed in 2942 (online in the next 60min)
[OneClick] fixed not able to add/remove tracks manually. Bug #977 (regression of 2939)
Are you running anything by any chance also from SMB drive/Share? I was able to reproduce it sometimes using a very slow system when the files are on a mapped network drive.
AutoEncode Not Computing Bitrate
Based in the DGIndexNV page you need at least a 500 series card. Yours is sadly some years older. The fix for the VideoPlayer size is in 2941 which should now be available. I have not tested it with scroll bars so I am interested in the results. And yes, please, a small file (ideally < 1 GB) with which you do have that encoding issue.
About the DGIndexNV issue you are seeing there: which Nvidia model do you have installed in your system?
The right side and the bottom should now be fully visible or do you still have issues with version 2941, @seagate? Are you able to upload a small part of that file which causes the issue for you?
Rapidly enqueuing jobs mixes up source/target file
Thank you very much for the feedback
One-Click will not open mkv
Thank you very much for the feedback. The real solution with the new mediainfo.dll is also on the way, but I cannot give any date yet.
Cannot encode TrueHD audio
Thank you very much for the feedback
[VidepPlayer] fixed window size to show everything independant of DPI values
Don't show preview window on AVS Script Creator
Correct, I modified it in 2940 but forgot to set a reference to this feature request in the changelog. Will be modified with 2941.
[Options] renamed "Show video preview after AviSynth script selection" to "Automatically open video preview"
Don't show preview window on AVS Script Creator
Likely yes. What is the issue with it and which preview based on which action are you interested in?
2939 is online. It should fix your issue partially. But the MediaInfo thread is still hanging around and will prevent MeGUI to be closed.
[MediaInfo] continue if a file cannot be read within 5 minutes. Bug #960
The good news is I can reproduce the bug. The bad news is that it is related to the outdated mediainfo.dll currently used. I plan to update that, but this is not so easily done. However it should not take years to get it done. We will see :) What I will do as a workaround is to ensure that MeGUI does not wait forever for the media information to be generated. I am only unsure what a proper value is, but after ~5min I would assume the result should be in all cases available.
Audio can't be found by muxer when several jobs with the same audio input/output is queued.
Should be fixed in 2938
[AutoEncode] use random intermediate file names to avoid issues with interfering jobs. Bug #934
Avisynth error with Avisynth + 3.5.0 version
DirectShowSource or AVISource is not supported.
don't run megui on win 10
One-click automatic deinterlacing does not work
Track naming is not working
Avisynth 2.6 Not working New Version
when I install VSfilter to avisynth plugin folder, MeGui throw an error
Cannot Access a Disposed Object (editing profiles)
qaac crashes megui
So I assume this case here can be closed?
MeGUI VSFilter issue
Deleted all my profiles due to poor backup policy
Is that still an issue for you? If you want to encode mutiple AVS files which already exist, you should be able to use OneClick. If there are issues for you, please let me know.
Crash on converting audio tracks of WMV to x264 with cut files
Subs shift backwards after encoding
out of memory on avs script creator
"Error parsing avs file" If repeatedly drop avs file into megui
When a file is dragged and dropped into "AviSynth Script" field, One-Click Encoder does not confirm the request immediately
MeGUI crash because of VirtualDub plugin - MSU Smart Deblocking
DGdecode.dll crashes starting today - the first time in 4 years of active usage
The only way would be to use a random temporary file name to avoid that. Let me check if that can be implemented easily.
One click will not convert using master audio track - extracts core then converts using core
Am I crazy or is it not possible to have Megui use the MASTER audio track in one click mode? Just select "Encode: never" and the audio will be kept untouched. How do I get it to use the CORE track for conversion? This is done by default. You do not have to do anything for that when the audio is to be encoded.
MP4 muxing incorrect aspect ratio
DGIndexNV at random takes infinite time to create index file
Does this still happen with recent versions of MeGUI and DgIndexNV?
I am sorry for my long reaction time and also for the confusion. Even with the recent MeGUI version I cannot reproduce this. So what do I do: Open Oneclick Click on Config beside the OneClick profile (scratchpad selected) Click on Config beside the AviSynth profile (scratchpad selected) I add a 1 at the end of the template I click ok And if I check now \allprofiles\AviSynth\AviSynthdp stscratchpadst.xml ==> I do see the added 1 already When I create a OneClick job and will be processed with the 1...
OneClick Crashes After More Than 63 Files In Folder To Encode
Thank you very much for the report and I am sorry that I am replying so late. If you are still involved, could you please tell me if the recent MeGUI version still has that issue?
[Error] Could not extract eac3to. Deleting file. Please run the update again.
Thank you very much for the report. I assume it is not valid anymore? My thougth would be however that an AntiVirus program may have interfered with that update.
GOD caculation
Thank you very much for the report. Honestly I do not understand what this is about. Could you please explain in more detail if still relevant?
Thank you very much for that report. Does that still happen with a recent MeGUI version?
errorness scripts create memory leak
DGIndex: cannot open input file in HIDE mode
So this does not need any further action, correct?
Unknown Frame Count with X265 Encoder 2 Pass
Thank you very much for the report. If this is still valid - I am sorry for the late reply - could you please retest with the recent MeGUI version and provide the full log?
One-Click will not open mkv
Does that problem still exist with the recent version of MeGUI? If yes, could you please provide a direct link to a problematic file?
My x264 encodes with same settings keep outputting at different filesizes
Thank you very much for the report and I am sorry for the very late reply. Do you still have that issue with the recent version?
Thank you very much for the report. Does that still happen nowadays?
Error when encoding AAC VBR, incorrect decimal symbol
Thank you very much. This got already fixed in 2916 some years ago so I hope you found that fix already.
MP4 MUXER ERROR
Thank you very much for the report. Could you please provide the information if this is still happening and if yes a full log file?
