"Excellent training & resources that help nonprofits maximize the impact of Neon One’s platform"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

The platform has streamlined our donor management and fundraising efforts, allowing our team to focus more on our mission and community impact. It’s efficient, and truly designed with nonprofits in mind. What stands out most is the level of customer support & Neon Academy. They are responsive, which in turn makes us more knowledgeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

While the platform has a slight learning curve for some of the more advanced features, the excellent support and resources, including Neon Academy, make it easy to get up to speed quickly. Neon Support will not fail you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One-woman band tool"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

Our association is an army of one full-time employee and two part-time. The two part-timers are the one who uses Neon. Neon CRM has made it decently easy to do events, donations and membership. We do pay for the tech support, which has been totally worth it. I would highly recommend paying for that option, even if only for a year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

The downsides are, as a small association, I can't implement everything I want to because there's not enough time. I think there are so many bells and whistles in the reporting elements, it makes it tough to understand, especially with the if/then statements required. It would be lovely to have a 'Top Ten Reports' option you could just chose and click to download. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nick Zmudzinski of Neon CRM

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re so glad to hear that Neon CRM has made event, donation, and membership management easier for your team, and we appreciate you highlighting the value of our support. We understand reporting can be complex, and we're always looking for ways to improve usability and make it easier to get the data you need. Your idea for a 'Top Ten Reports' option is an excellent suggestion that we will pass along to our product team.

"Product works well and offers a lot of training tools and support using the CRM."
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

Keeps donations safe, tracked and organized and has integrated donation forms and event forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

The biggest issue is the new donor and event forms don't support multiple pricing on tickets to events, such as at a banquet when we sell tables for 8 or 10 guests and at different pricing levels. I have to use the Legacy forms which are much more cumbersome to work with. Also some of the reports and linked reports don't work right. For example, if I click on the number of donations within the Fundraiser page, that hotlink lists everyone who donated to at fundraiser, but in real-time, NOT just what they donated to that particular fund; this is not helpful at all. The data needed is specific to what they donated and when to THAT fundraiser. I also think the shade of grey that is used on the internal tabs is way too light colored and should be darker. I don't even notice there there are tabs because it is so light! Twice now, I've contacted support when I've gone back to see tabs that are just very pale grey words, not even a tab-like graphic to make it look like tabs. It should be darker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tim Sarrantonio of Neon CRM

Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback. We're grateful for the time you took to highlight what's working well, like our donation tracking and forms, as well as where we need to improve. We've heard you on the issues with the new forms and reports, and our team is actively working on updates to address these specific pain points. Keep an eye out for updates to our event and peer-to-peer fundraising tools in the coming months, which we believe will make a big difference for you. We’ll also be looking into the reports and the lighter shade of grey you mentioned. Our goal is to make sure your experience is not only functional but also intuitive and visually clear.

"A Thoughtful, All-in-One CRM Built for Nonprofits"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

Neon CRM feels like it was built by people who get nonprofit work. I love how everything is in one place, donor records, event registrations, email campaigns, reports, and it's all easy to navigate. The automation tools have saved us so much time, especially with donor thank-you emails and recurring giving. I also really appreciate the customization options; I can tweak fields, reports, and workflows to fit the way our organization operates. Plus, their customer support is top-notch — they’re quick to respond and genuinely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

There’s a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, especially if you’re transitioning from a simpler system or spreadsheets. Some of the customization options can feel a little overwhelming until you get the hang of it. I also wish a few of the reports were a bit more intuitive right out of the box. I’ve had to play around with filters and settings to get what I need. That said, the support team and knowledge base are super helpful, and once you get comfortable, it’s a really powerful tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tim Sarrantonio of Neon CRM

Thank you for sharing your updated review! We love hearing how Neon CRM has helped your team save time, stay organized, and feel more confident in managing growth. The way you described moving from juggling multiple platforms to having everything centralized really captures the benefit we strive to deliver—making it easier to build stronger donor relationships, track engagement, and act on meaningful insights. We also appreciate your feedback on the learning curve and reporting, and we’ll keep working to make those areas even smoother.

"Great experience and getting better"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

Neon CRM has made impressive strides in modernizing its platform. The team clearly cares about user experience, with a sharper look, improved usability, and a marketing team that’s delivering great resources like an expanded webinar series. It’s exciting to see a product evolving in such a strong, user-focused direction. I also thoroughly appreciate the advanced customization options and hope they continue to add more abilities for integration with other apps. Customization for us is a HUGE priority. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

The organization of Global Settings and individual event/contact/list/report/forms/themes etc. settings can be a bit confusing. The logic seems to be inconsistent at times. But as I mentioned in what I like about Neon CRM, it feels like the current product team is making an effort to bring the UX up to date and they've been successful so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tim Sarrantonio of Neon CRM

Oh gosh, tackling the Global Settings is certainly an ongoing initiative—and we agree! Our goal is simplicity without sacrificing sophistication. We’re so glad you’ve noticed the strides in usability, design, and resources, and that advanced customization is helping you keep everything on brand. We’ll keep working to refine the experience while expanding integration capabilities so you can get even more out of Neon CRM.

"Neon CRM has saved our organization's life!"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

I appreciate the well-roundedness of Neon CRM. It provides everything that I need out of a nonprofit CRM, and the prices are great for small nonprofits. Neon CRM is very easy to use! I have been able to go in and just get started with making forms, integrating with other platforms, and generating reports. I feel like the implementation process has been incredibly smooth from beginning to end! The customer support at Neon ONE has been incredible! Any time I have a question, I submit a ticket, and someonesolves it for me just a few hours later. I use Neon One every day when I am working at my organization! 10/10 platform! I am so glad that we invested and got Neon CRM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

The only complaint I have about Neon CRM is that I wish I found it sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tim Sarrantonio of Neon CRM

We're so thrilled to hear this, Zanaiah! We cannot wait to support your organization's growth journey and will make sure the support team hears about your positive experience. If you need anything, we're here for you.

"User friendly and beginner friendly as well"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

I like that any member of the team can become accustomed to the software quickly, regardless of prior experience. The training modules and system makes ease of any questions. It is great to use something that really feels like it was designed with users in mind. The Neon CRM team listens to its users and truly adapts to what we need and want. The software isn't cluttered with features that aren't useful either. We use Neon every day, and not in a tedious way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

I sometimes struggle to avoid duplicate account creation, but Neon does a fantastic job at auto merging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tim Sarrantonio of Neon CRM

We love hearing how quickly your team has been able to get up to speed with Neon CRM and that the platform feels truly user-focused. It’s great to know the training resources and streamlined design are making your daily work more efficient. We also hear you on duplicates—and we’re excited for the new automated household detection features rolling out this month to make duplicate management even easier!

"Continously improving its customer experience"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

The ease of use of the system-- with the many upgrades over the last few years that we have used it, its made things much cleaner and intuitve. They have greatly improved their resources and manuals site and access. while many organizations are solely using AI, Neon CRM is still using customer service and easy to follow guides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

They have begun charging to use their live chat feature and some plans have limits. They have continued to make many updates but their events platform is still lacking the ability to do raffles or host an auction, as well as offering tap to pay.

Their reporting is still glitchy, with their fundraising reports not offering the columns options needed to run a single report. Also, their soft credits report repertoire needs to be expanded as the reports don't capture the nuances that come with soft credit links. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nick Zmudzinski of Neon CRM

Thanks for the feedback, Eli! We're so glad you're happy with our continuous updates and that our customer service has been a positive experience for you. We appreciate your specific feedback on reporting and events. Currently, Neon CRM offers an integration with ClickBid, a third-party solution designed specifically for auctions. This integration helps you run auctions smoothly while keeping all your donor data in Neon CRM. We're always looking for ways to improve our tools, and your feedback is a valuable part of that process.

"Review on Neon CRM"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

The system makes it easy for us to run reports and keep track of our donor database. We really appreciate having all of this information in one place, which allows us to quickly and efficiently pull the data we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

The system can sometimes be confusing to navigate, and when questions come up, it is often very difficult to get in touch with someone for support. Additionally, the platform is not always equipped with the functions we need. For example, when running events with multiple ticket prices, we are only able to apply one discount, which limits our flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tim Sarrantonio of Neon CRM

We’re glad to hear Neon CRM is helping you keep donor and event data in one place so you can report and manage everything more efficiently. We also appreciate your feedback on navigation, support, and especially event ticket discounts. We’ve already begun rolling out improvements in this area—our July release included updates to discount functionality—and we’ll be expanding ticketing options further in upcoming releases. Thank you for sharing how you use Neon CRM; it helps us keep improving the experience.

"Intuitive platform to learn"
What do you like best about Neon CRM?

The ability to track donation history and every other interaction with our organization in one place is really handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

I think that the notes and activities sections could use updating. I find it really important to have a place to gather notes on a person but I don't necessarily want it to pop up in your face when you click on their name. Maybe implement a priority to the note. If its one that needs to be in your face, you can select it. If not, it just goes in a general notes section. I think it'd also be helpful to have that notes section be more accessible to read in fewer clicks instead of clicking into each post ever made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Tim Sarrantonio of Neon CRM

We’re so glad Neon CRM is helping you not just track donations, but also manage the broader picture of community engagement—everything from donor history to events and student programming. Your feedback on notes and activities is really valuable, and we’ll share it with our product team as we continue to refine the experience.
